New NYC based label Dither Down (headed up by Tim Wagner of 33Hz and DJ Chicus of the reggae label Redbud Records) is coming out strong with their latest vinyl only release from 33Hz, “Under The Sun” features solid remixes from NYC hero Eli Escobar, Norwegian disco maestro Prins Thomas and also Brooklyn producer Trap.Avoid who delivers a minimal disco sounding affair.

Tropical Bomb

João Brasil is considered the mash-up king of Rio, his debut single on Man Recordings, “L.O.V.E. Banana” that features vocals from Lovefoxxx (of CSS fame) just dropped and it’s a sure fire summer smash. In preparation for the release he decided to give out the lambada styled track “Tropical Bomb”.

“João wrote “Tropical Bomb” last winter when preparing tracks for his debut EP on Man Recordings. then J-Lo came out with “On The Floor” and we decided to not release “tropical bomb”, as she kind of stole the show using the “lambada” melody. When writing about the “lambada” story we decided to give away “Tropical Bomb” as a free track to promote the EP.”

Mean Bucket is a label straight out of Prague and with their sixth release, they give us a handful of remixes that are based on the tracks from the excellent Berlin based producer/dj Tvyks EP “From Prague To Berlin”. New release “From Prague To Berlin: Remixed” features party starting takes from producers such as Chrissy Murderbot and So Shifty. We’re glad to provide you with a frantic, chopped up ghettotech styled remix of “Speed Bike” by French tag team Big Dope P & Mr Mozaphanka.

He’s been proven to be one of the best dj’s in Helsinki and his mixes and gigs are always treat for your ears – musically and from a technical point of view. He’s also one of the guys behind the epic Flow Festival of Helsinki! Check this years lineup and get hyped up already!

“The mix is 1 hour and 45 minutes in total and the selection has a new wavey vibe to it: some of the tracks are obscure enough to be called minimal wave now, some are true classics of the early video era. Me I just like to think of them all as cool 80’s jams that you can’t not like.”

The twisted and quirky geniuses in Mount Kimbie set people all over the world on fire last year with their cut up and sample based mix of dubstep, UK garage, hip hop, indie and cinematic postrock, all showcased on the critically acclaimed album “Crooks And Lovers”. The British duo now follows up that album with the June 27th release of the “Carbonated” single (that contains two previously unreleased tracks + remixes of from Airhead, DJ Peter Van Hoesen and Klaus).
