Visions Of Trees – Sirens Novocaine (Melé remix)

Rumors has it that young Liverpool producer Melé turned The Boiler Room upside down with his set this week. Here he is with a fierce remix of the second single “Sirens (Novocaine)” (out now on Deadly People) from London duo Visions of Trees. This is similar to a full on assault on the dancefloor with a pounding beat, a haunting house piano and on top of it all swarming synths that bounces off the vocals.

Tiedye – Fishermen’s Bend

Anton Klint and Edvin Edvinsson (of Fibes Oh Fibes fame) form Tiedye, a Swedish sundrenched and saltwatersmelling disco duo with influences ranging from Swedish progressive pop music but also boogierock and dreamy 70′s disco. The duo have kept a bit quite during the past year apart from the occasional dj-gigs but now New Jersey label Italians Do It Better just unleash the three track EP “Fishermen’s Bend”. The track is apparently a part of Tiedyes debut album which has been in the making for almost two years. Dan Lissvik (1/2 of Studio) offers up a brilliant remix that’s less boogierock and more shuffling disco.

WINNERS: Remix your fav Malente classic

In the beginning of September we asked you to hand in your remix for a Malente Remix competition seeing as Malente put out a 10year Anniversary Edition of his first Album ‘The Spirit Of Malente’ dating back to 2000 – remastered and stuffed with previously unreleased bonus tracks.

We received about 50 remixes of which the top 5 winners will see an official release in November on No Funk Rec. The most amazing remixes comes from Roby Howler, Say Dubai, Teenage Mutants, Go Freek and Nautic. Thanks to everybody who participated or tried.

As a little thank you to all of you we give away the remix by Ren Riz which came in 6th, hence doesn’t make it on the release including a special Malente Re-Dub of this remix.
