Zombie Disco Squad vs. The Criime – Colors + Made To Play podcast

London/Berlin duo Zombie Disco Squad have been one of the top players of the Made To Play label for some time now and with the release of their new single “Piano Man”, they’ll definetely cement that position.

On the verge of the release, they offer us a new track done in collaboration with Luxembourg duo The Criime, “Colors” is a warm, soulful techhouse groover with a tingling melody and vocals that feel like they were lit up by sunshine.

Crowd Control

Been a while since we featured some beatboxing on Discobelle.

Two figureheads of European beatboxing – Eddie Blondeau AKA Eklips from Paris/France & Lee Potter AKA Killa Kela from London/UK have teamed up to create music that pushes the boundaries of the human voice, and then some…

With both careers spanning over 12 years to equal critical acclaim, multiple guest appearances and live performances across many genre’s, this new audio offering has been a long awaited event in the beatbox calendar.

Alongside Shanghai based Producer extraordinaire CONRANK, the three set out to create a universal sound, leaning on their talents & environmentsfrom across the globe. The outcome is rich in vocal percussion, harmonies and instrument imitation…Heavy vocal manipulated synths and 808′s, French and English melodies, raps and vocals. And of course, ear popping Beatbox routines.

KLSKLSKLS

Klasse Recordings Giveaways EP

The week kicks off with a tidal wave sized flood of music – first up is KLSUNDERGROUND001, which Klasse Recordings’ first foray into the various artists compilation field – five tracks from associated friends of the label, including a genius track from recent Discobelle Records artists Viadrina.

You can stream all of KLSUNDERGROUND001 right here, but because making indisposable quality dance music for the masses apparently isn’t enough for Luca Lozano and co, they’ve assembled a gigantic EP on Soundcloud for free download, ten edits, remixes and original productions that hit the sweet spot for any fan of deeply satisfying, reverberatingly original house music.

We’ve already given some praise to Johanna Knutsson’s effortlessly smooth Sinnamon rework, but Mr. Ho’s Notorious B.I.G inspired reworking of the Isley Brothers is a welcome surprise. Elsewhere, Pol_On transforms Shakedown’s “At Night” into a pitch bended mutation of its previous incarnation, and Luca Lozano comes dangerously close to outshining everyone else on the EP with two efforts – the seamlessly bumping, rolling falsetto groove of “Full Black” and an edit of “Let Me Show You Love” that sounds like you’re right there in the recording booth with Romanthony, bottle of champagne in each hand, alternating between yelling the chorus, slurring your words and tipsily dancing around with headphones on.

Listen to them all, download them all, and don’t forget to grab the first (of many, hopefully) Klasse compilation right here.

Dauwd – What’s There

Calling Dauwd’s music ambient feels wrong: ambient music sometimes skitters on terminally boring, and the latest release on Pictures Music doesn’t have any uneventful moments that will lull you to sleep – instead, it’s a cascade of action from the vibrating thrumming of the first note to the bass carried bubbly climax that makes your stomach feel like it’s lurching up and down when heard on a proper soundsystem. Reflective, smartly produced dance music for people who like the idea of a ‘future garage’ that’s not wallowing in mopey listlessness, it’s danceable firstly and reflective secondly.

Three hundred vinyl copies available at Bleep for those interested, and everyone from Dark Sky to Caribou seem to be buzzing about this one.

Tim Heidecker – My Lord (For Herman Cain)

My Master (video by @thatslayerchic) from Tim Heidecker on Vimeo.

Tim Heidecker of Tim & Eric Awesome Show fame has assembled a tribute album for Herman Cain, affectionately titled “Cainthology: Songs In The Key of Cain”.

If hearing 12 love songs about former pizza chain owner turned batshit crazy republican candidate isn’t enough motivation to pick it up, 100% of profits from the album go towards a nonprofit organization that works with survivors of sexual assault.
