The Mixie Vol. 11: Luckybeard

THE MIXIE VOL. 11 / LUCKYBEARD from PTW SCHOOL on Vimeo.

The Mixie is a music project powered by the PTW SCHOOL blog which is based in Milan, Italy. They get dj’s and producers that they like to make a 30 min video where they show their skills with a dj set or live set.

“This time is up to the most loved beard in Italy: LuckyBeard a.k.a. Phra from Crookers. He is the founder of the fresh label: Lucky Beard Records whose roster is formed by massive producers like Bombaman, Digi G’alessio, Stabber, Cookie Snap, Donovans and LuckyBeard himself. These are the words they wrote about us on their website: “This is a simple story: There’s a site called PTW SCHOOL, the coolest of the www. There’s LuckyBeard that while playing in his underwear answers the phone.

This video mix was recorded at Phra’s home. The carpet is authentic and the shorts are branded. The music you can hear in this set comes straight from Lucky Beard Rec productions, 100% LB’s style with some bites of next EP’s, coming out soon and other unreleased tracks.”

Smalltown DJ’s – Last Summer, Just in Time for Winter Mix

In order to start the week right, we give you a new mixtape courtesy of our Canadian brethren in stellar dj/production outfit Smalltown DJ’s and as you should all know by now they deliver the goods with a 50 minute mix of fun. This is on repeat.

“When summer hit this year we decided to put together a mix that would represent a Smalltown festival DJ Set. Sounds easy. Somehow summer madness got the best of us and we spent the fall tripping. Some old, some new and even some unreleased tracks appear on the mix, including Deeklines Remix of our forthcoming single on Black Butter Records “LTV”. As the end of 2011 nears we wanted to make sure you heard this mix, as it represents many of our DJ sets from this year.”
