Fact Mix 324: Soul Clap

The Boston duo known as Soul Clap are the reigning masters of deep and funky house, they’re responsible for this E-Funk mix which is even if it’s a bit old the latest mix in the Fact Magazine Mix series and this is tryuly outstanding. There will be alot of babies made to this mix.

“This mix, in fact, is so good that we don’t mind the fact that it’s old. Soul Clap’s E-FUNK: The Mixtape was created in 2010, and pressed in a limited edition of 200 copies – 100 given out for free at a party thrown by the Boston duo, and 100 through our friends at Phonica Records. Now, with Soul Clap’s debut album on the horizon, we’re making this classic available for free online.

Those of you who remember King Midas Sound’s FACT mix – a beautifully crafted session of re-manipulated lovers’ rock that you’d have gladly paid money for, given how much effort and attention had clearly gone into it – will find much to love about this session. Sporting close to 40 tracks from Dam-Funk, Kokane, Miles Davis and many more, plus interludes, shout outs and, naturally, plenty of edits and originals from Soul Clap themselves, E-FUNK: The Mixtape is pretty close to nasty, stanky, funk perfection. Trust us on this one, it’s absolutely brilliant.”

PS. We see you there in the tracklist Genevan Heathen…
