Apart from all the blogging, we DJ quite a lot. We play the same sort of music that we post, so if you like the blog – you’re going to have a good time on our dancefloor as well. Gwen Stefani – Rich Girl (Greg Wilson edit)

Legendary Manchester producer/dj Greg Wilson with another one of his magnificent edits, this time he turns his attention to the Gwen Stefani track “Rich Girl” that he strips from almost all the vocals and stretches it out to an 8 minute long disco monster.

“‘Rich Girl’, Gwen Stefani’s worldwide hit from 2004, was originally recorded just over a decade earlier by London duo Louchie Lou & Michie One. Stefani’s version is underpinned by Dr Dre’s inimitable production, which is what attracted me to the track. Apart from a small section of vocal about two thirds of the way in, I concentrate purely on the instrumental aspects, stretching things out to maximise the tracks powerful groove appeal, whilst peppering in some additional sound textures along the way.
