worriedaboutsatan – Baychimo
Back in 2010, worriedaboutsatan (Thomas Ragsdale and Gavin Miller) released a single, toured Europe, then disappeared. Instead the duo started the techno project Ghosting Season in early 2011, and left worriedaboutsatan to hibernate. Four years after the hiatus – the band decided to dust off some old demos in their Manchester studio, and re-emerged last year with the pulsing and hypnotic sounding single “I’m Not/The Next Round”.
“Even Temper” drops March 16th and marks the first full length since their 2009 debut album “Arrivals”, the first single “Baychimo” is a beautiful, slo-mo sounding techno affair.
“SS Baychimo was a steel-hulled 1,322 ton cargo steamer built in 1914 in Sweden and owned by the Hudson’s Bay Company. She became a notable ghost ship along the Alaska coast, being abandoned in 1931 and seen numerous times since then until her last sighting in 1969.”
