It’s Tuesday, and the weather in LA just won’t quit. Calling it simply warm is an understatement, and it feels just like summer. With that in mind and ignoring for a few minutes at how potentially damaged our climate might be to be so warm in November, one of my favorite pastimes is driving late at night and jamming out to different music with friends, and my next trip will undoubtedly include this one cranked up high.

Shy Luv’s “Joyrider” is funky and irresistably funky and worth a listen.

Check it out below.

It’s a bit late at night, but I’ve been scouring soundcloud for some jams, and this one was a beautiful piece that I definitely had to get this up on the Discobelle site.

The track is from Kasbo, and features vocals from Cheney, an UK based singer. The talented artist has been gaining attention from the festival and show circuit, with shows at Brownies and Lemonade and Snowglobe.

Listen to the track below.

Common Souls (comprised of guitarist/vocalist Ryan Yoo & keyboardist/drummer Nick Velez) dub their music “ESM”: Electronic Sad Music, and considering everything that’s happening around us in the US, this song seems a little bit appropriate.

“Roots//Habit” is emotional and stunning, and this work is indicative of their long career ahead. Citing James Blake, Kanye, Frank Ocean, and “weirder” artists including Gabriel Garón-Montano as major influences, Common Souls is ecstatic to release their debut EP, “Pyramid Lake”.

Dragonette has been gearing up for their album lately, and the tracks we’ve heard so far have been a beautiful blend of pop and electronic, making it the perfect piece to listen to as we get into the colder season.

To continue the momentum they’ve been building, the group has released their newest track, “Detonate,” with us exclusively today. The pop-influenced track brings energy and excitement to the dreary election Tuesday and is the perfect piece to kickstart the week.

Marlee Quirarte is a name you most likely haven’t heard by any means, but if she plays her moves right, she will definitely be a name to know in the next couple of years. With a stellar voice that just doesn’t quit, and excellent lyrics, she’s got the potential to be a serious star.

“Frankie” is only the second song to be released, but it’s already showing a lot of promise about where she’s headed. It’s R&B through and through, and she manages to bring life to the track with stunning words about Frankie, her father.

About the track, Quirarte says- “I wrote Frankie in memory of my father- from my mother’s perspective. But I wanted the song to be fun and nostalgic- in remembrance of the glory days for them. Something fun, something meaningful, you know the good times.”

Listen to the track below! The track will be out on November 4th. Check her out on Facebook.

Yuksek’s record label Partyfine has been a carefully curated imprint, with every release sounding stronger and more cohesive than the first. It’s all a stunning testament to the talented French producer’s production values, and we’re beyond thrilled to have learnt that he’s gearing up for a new compilation, the third compilation out via the label.

Today we’re excited to premiere the “Reich & Darwin” remix by Kerenn Ann, Yuksek & Chassol. While the original itself is a piano driven piece, the remix takes it to the electronic hemisphere and allows it to grab an added layer of emotional depth to the piece, making it come alive in a whole other way.

Check out both the original and remixed version below.

Dragonette is back again with their latest track “Body 2 Body,” the absolutely stunning track that touches upon the universal struggle of letting go. With energy for days and a stunning arrangement, this one is not one to miss!

Their fourth studio album Royal Blues is set to be released worldwide on November 11th.

I stumbled upon this EP earlier this week, and as I play it in the late hours of the night, I’m digging it’s grooves and jamming out in my shorts to this one.

Midas Hutch has had a pretty big year already, with a highly successful debut single, “The High,” which now has over 1 Million streams across Spotify and Soundcloud. The funk rhythms bring late night radio energy and nostalgic atmosphere and the energy is infectious beyond belief.
