In the digital age, it’s hard to avoid Internet trolls. That’s the topic of Foreign Air’s new single “Lying’. The song finds the nomadic alt-rock duo piqued by a repeated source of inspiration — technology — both the good and the bad. The theme of dishonesty and cruelty in the protagonist is a way into the group’s fixation w/ the rampant Internet trolls in Trump’s America, anchored on the repeated mantra “I just want to be mean to someone else.” Can we say same here?

Toronto via Nigeria rapper TOBi teams up with LA producer Clayjay on “Ride”, the result of a modern creative romance that was born via the internet. On the track, TOBi provides vocals as well as rap verses, showcasing his diversity as an artist and giving the song added depth.

Vienna, Austria producer filous recently dropped his “For Love EP via Ultra Music. The EP features previous singles “Knots” as well as the title track, with a standout collaboration with rising vocalist Emily Warren called “Already Gone”. The EP is filous’ first collaborative effort, with vocal features from klei and Mat Kearney in addition to Emily Warren.

Taking cues from sultry sirens like Lana Del Rey and Amy Winehouse, Donna Missal returns with new single “Transformer”. The husky sultryness of Donna’s voice, the bombastic rock leaning instrumentation, and an anthemic chorus all come together to make the track one you’ll not forget easily.

Copenhagen experimental pop duo Blondage kicks off their European tour with the announcement of a new schizophrenic, hyperactive track “Call It Off.” Its playful, sassy vibe enhances the song’s future pop sound, with an added layer of complexity brought by the constantly shifting energy between frenetic anger and ecstasy.

People often assume they assume they know the kind of person you are from a first meeting or from social media. But as Los Angeles singer and Ultra Music artist TRACE’s new song explains, those brief encounters rarely give us a look beyond the surface. “You Don’t Know Me” is a cool and smoky R&B inflected pop song about the assumptions we often make about others, and when we get that chance to get close to someone, we sometimes realize that up close, they aren’t actually someone we like at all.
