Though I’m sure everyone is over the myriad amount of remixes floating around the blogosphere of the latest from Goldroom… I gotta tell ya: this one is worth the listen. Denver based producers, Eric David & j.harmon, take their chunky, bottom-heavy style and use it to fantastic results on this free remix. Their hypnotic usage of pads, vocal snips and blippy percussion turns the blurry-eyed original into a late night floor filler, perfect for keeping warm during the chilly nights ahead. Bonus points for the Alan Watts usage.

UK disco producer, The Reflex, is truth. His edits and reworks are a thing of absolute beauty, impeccable knowledge and reverence of the highest order. Using only the original, multi track master stems for his series of ‘Re√isions,’ The Reflex has tackled such heavy weights as Michael Jackson, Blondie, David Bowie, Queen and Stevie Wonder… twisting the originals into gorgeous, extended work outs (he re√ision of ‘Rock With You by MJ is an absolute monster).

Speaking of monster’s, here we have his edit of another MJ classic, ‘Thriller.’ Though not a part of his re√ision series, we’re treated instead to a staggering level of creativity using only the acapella and instrumental versions of the original tune. Perfect Halloween weaponry for the approaching weekend. Free download too!

NYC night walker, Jacques Renault releases his latest aural assault for the home team at Let’s Play House NYC. The ‘Out Of Sync EP’ features four original cuts that span the gamut of house from the acidic psychedelia of opener, ‘I Like It (Feat. The Emperor Machine), to the 10,000 leagues below deepness of ‘Akron’. B-Side, ‘Make Up,’ is retro in all the right ways while EP closer, ‘M.A.N.’ is the real winner for me here. The blissful pads and funky-worm mono-leads dance over a bed of sparse percussion and a bass line that just won’t quit.

Forthcoming on Let’s Play House NYC. Vinyl – Oct. 27th & Digital – Nov. 10th

Up and coming, UK house producer, Ben Gomori has been all over my radar this year with his fantastic series of free edits that found homes at sites such as House Of Disco, Let’s Play House NYC and right here at Discobelle.net!

Continuing the free vibes, Ben’s latest, gratis offering comes in the form of the appreciatively titled, ‘Thank You For Dancing’ and is a housed up rendition of some classic Mary J. Bubbly bass, stabby chords and chunky beats… one for the steppers, for sure!

These days, Dutch production outfit, Detroit Swindle are a house-hold name in the global dance scene with heavily lauded releases on Freerange, Tsuba, their own Heist Recordings and here, on Dirt Crew where they’ve released their debut album, ‘Boxed Out.’ Today we’ve got their upcoming remix EP on blast which features versions from Jimpster, MRSK, Cuthead and Kaytronik and perfectly picks up where the LP left off. Deep and moody dance floor cuts with heavy grooves, silky vibes and one mission: to jack yo body!

Jimpster kicks things off with his deep re-rub of ‘B.Y.O.’ while MRSK turns is a pounding rework of ‘He’s Just A Guy, You Know?’… watch out for the disco break, it’s pure fire! Cuthead’s take on ‘Me, Myself & I’ is silky, shuffling and sweet while Kaytronik’s ‘Nyte Tyme Remix’ of ‘For The Love Of…” is hypnotic and rumbling.

Available October 27th.

Forthcoming on the mighty, Anjunadeep, the new single from Germany based producer, Lane 8. ‘Diamonds’ shows the young producer coming into his own with a confident stride on this heart-wrenching ode to lost love that features the wonderful vocal talents of Solomun Grey. A shimmering, hypnotic piano riff gently carries us atop a bed of light percussion and bubbly arpeggios whilst Grey’s lamenting voice chroons softly into the cosmos.

Crackin’ new remix of Slaptop’s summer anthem, ‘Sunrise,’ from Chicago resident and Hey Champ drummer, Rogue Vogue. Injecting his usual penchant for vintage house flare, Rogue Vogue ups the amperage and takes us to a sweaty warehouse party, some where on the south side of town.

PROM – My Line

Oct 14 2014

Brooklyn based dream pop duo, PROM caught my attention today with their debut EP release, ‘Keeping Company,’ out now on Ghost Beach helmed label, Crazy Heart Records. ‘My Lines’ is the first cut on the EP and showcases the groups aesthetic perfectly. Greasy, analogue synth lines, jangley guitars and lilting vocal washes create a patchwork of shoegaze inspired, pop majesty.

Out Now. Buy it HERE.
