Stockholm producer, purveyor of futuristic club tracks and one of the founders of the Staycore label Dinamarca turns the classic Opus III track “It’s A Fine Day” upside down and we get a bassy, slo-mo club track that sounds like it’s influenced by cumbia or tribal guarachero.

Jorge Cruz of Trax Records/Weare18 fame drops a mixtape of all out cumbia and this is our go to mix for a depressing Monday morning.

“I was supposed to be in el DF but instead I decided to move to L.A. I can’t help but to yearn for those nights out, getting off to go to Amberes to that little club in the afternoon.

I miss dancing with a crowd. I miss those afternoons. I miss dancing on the streets while my grandma sat and watched.

For now this little slice will have to suffice. It’s not the same. Pero — ahi vamos.”

The always genius Madlib has come back with a mixtape for all of us to listen to this week. While we at Discobelle thought that we may have missed the chance when we didn’t get to check out the Rappcats show in Los Angeles, where he released 30 copies of this mixtape with hand-drawn art, we’ve been saved by getting it digitally (still not quite as good, but livable).

The mixtape is beautifully eccentric and all-out what makes Madlib so great. Listen to it below!
