Los Angeles based producer/dj and Discobelle friendly Eric Sharp returns with a new EP, he teams up with some of his buddies for the “Eric Sharp and Friends EP” (out now via Little Assembly, features Zhao and French Horn Rebellion). The four-track offering is teeming with warm, hypnotic and dreamy house music, our favorite track is the soothing opener “Call In The Night”.

“For the ‘Eric Sharp & Friends EP’ I left that creative constraint behind and just focused on making music as an ends in and of itself. Those who follow my original work will know that collaboration is a big part of my process. I find that there is a nearly magical energy exchange in co-creating music with other artists whom I share a wavelength with”

Husqvarna Motorcycles teams up with us here at Discobelle along with our friends in Swedish acts Aron McFaul and franskild for two exclusive mixes to coincide with the release of the brand new Husqvarna Motorcycles street bike range.

The new street bike range consists of the SVARTPILEN- and VITPILEN models that nod to the history of this classic Swedish company and brings it into today with simple yet progressive design, distinctive style and Swedish understatement.

The two mixes from Aron McFaul and franskild each correspond with the street bike models, Arons SVARTPILEN mix was made as a “…soundtrack for driving down European roads on the motorcycle at night…” and showcases his strutting balearic discoish sound while franskilds VITPILEN mix has playful yet controlled feel or you could say a simple yet progressive organic house sound.

There was no escaping Izzy Buzu’s ‘White Tiger’ come its 2016 release, let alone the plethora of remixes that followed. Female duo Cat Carpenters cuts through the noise with a fine club fix of the track, pairing a subtle house backbone with an otherwise fluid fix of vivid instrumental licks and day-to-day playability. There’s a lot to be said for multi-purpose remixes right now, an art that Cat Carpenters owns for this A-grade remix.

Sifu stepped up for this incredible remix of Azad‘s “Special,” and from first listen, it’s got the makings of a hit. Featuring both hip-hop and deep house (ish) elements, Sifu’s remix of “Special” is the third track off Azad’s A Very Emotional EP to receive the remix treatment alongside “Enough Of You” and “Ready”. Stream it below and if you’re feeling it, grab the free download here.

Stop what you’re doing and thank the house gods that some new acts are still out there trying to forge their own identities. Courtesy of Joedan, we have a prime slice of warming House etiquette in the form of ‘Loved & Lost,’ a culminating bout of moody dance floor fuel and unprecedented sample work. Liberal use of Rihanna’s hooks from Drake’s “Take Care” float ominously alongside the somber club number, polishing off a very worthy slice of work from the anonymous outfit.

Barcelona-based producer/dj Baldo have released smoking hot tracks on labels such as Let’s Play House, Neovinyl, Feline and Good Ratio.

He is the latest in line for the Discobelle mix series, he goes deep into jazzed up and funked out house territory for this groovy and organic sounding mix that gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling inside and it’s been on steady rotation here at Discobelle HQ since we received it.

If you want to hear more from Baldo he’s playing Red Light Radio on Saturday May 13th and if you happen to find yourself in Barcelona next week check him out at the Neovinyl (on which he’ll release a new EP later this month) label night at Moog.

Lane 8 is one of the few producers that can craft an incredible story through his music even if there aren’t any spoken words. I’m a sucker for vocals but “Little Voices” is as intricate and breathtaking of a instrumental track as I’ve heard in a while. He’ll be launching a series of ‘Summer Gatherings’ shows in New York City, Colorado, and San Francisco, all at expansive summer venues keyed in on establishing a mini-festival atmosphere. Can’t wait!
