Black Diamonds Records is a new label from Brazilian/Austrian producer/dj Joyce Muniz and its inaugural release “Black Diamonds” is the debut EP from indie/electronic pop artist Demetrius (who originally began his career as the singer of electronic/alternative outfit Suntalk, as well as a backing vocalist for both Elton John and Alicia Keys).

He has spent the last few years forging a name for himself within Berlin’s techno scene, his sound reflects the electronic mecca of his current hometown, as well as the influences of his Trinidadian roots.

“Black Diamonds” makes sure to showcase his diverse sound and the tracks on the EP are all filled with a melancholic and synth-driven house that is aimed at both the dancefloor and home listening.

Clyde P is a Parisian tech house producer that’s widely considered to be the best kept secret within the dance music scene in Europe. He’s also the son of the famous French singer Rachid Taha and was raised on a musical diet of funk and hip-hop which is showcased in his sound.

His new EP “The Gnawa March” EP was just released via Desert Heart Records. The three track EP takes us on a funky and housed up ride of hypnotic vocals and nasty basslines. We here at Discobelle can particularly recommend the Darius Syrossian remix of the title track.

Our good friend Los Angeles based producer/dj Eric Sharp teams up with his buddy Zhao for the brand new deep house inspired single “Monday Blues” that will be released on May 29th via our friends in hometown heroes House Music With Love

The track is spearheaded by a dark sounding synth line, a steadfast bass-filled rhythm and Zhaos vocals riding on top.

“Monday Blues is a personal piece that comes from a place of empathy and compassion. It was written during a time when someone very close to me was unearthing deep-seated psychic pain in a healing process from their past. The verses are imbued with struggle and heaviness, while the chorus inspires hope, and faith in the ability move beyond our hurts together. Everyone has challenges in life, and we are never alone in our feelings. There is no wound too deep to be made whole, and I hope this song reminds people of that.”

German duo Piemont have been churning out awesome music since 2007 with releases on labels such as Monaberry, Lapsus Music, Glasgow Underground, Exploited, Definition Music and Toolroom. Now they close out 2018 with new release “The Random” which drops on December 21st via their own imprint Moonless Air.

“The Random” is a top quality organic sounding house tune with a galloping rhythm that’s sprinkled with eerie synthwork and a woozy bass.

After the success of his recently released album “Invisible”, much acclaimed German house DJ/producer Sharam Jey is set to release the second instalment of the album’s stellar remix package, “Invisible – The Remix Album (Part 2)”, via Bunny Tiger Records on December 10th (Part 1 of the remix package dropped about two weeks ago)

The full 22 track remix album (Part 1 and Part 2) follows the original LP (released back in September) which saw him deliver 14 synth laced tracks that drew inspiration from the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Röyksopp, Daft Punk and Depeche Mode with guest vocal contributions from Little Boots, Dirty Vegas, KLP, Kat, Dacia Bridges and Ashibah.

The second remix package includes reworks by the likes of likes of Kolombo and Mason, we here at Discobelle can premiere the remix from UK based producer Vanilla Ace which makes sure to transform the track “Planet Love” into a steadfast, deep house groover that will make wonders on dancefloors.

All in all, the new remix album complements the original LP perfectly and serves up an intriguing variety of dancefloor ready tracks by a handpicked array of international talents.

Feb – No More

Dec 3 2018

If I were to imagine a dance floor in the 80’s, I’d picture this tune from Feb being played on repeat. His latest “No More” is a disco smash that is sure to brighten your day.
