Norwegian pop artist Gundelach dropped his critically acclaimed debut EP last year (the EP was nominated in the best pop album category at the Norwegian Grammys and has seen serious radio play in Germany and the UK along with high streaming numbers) and he’s had a strong run this summer gaining momentum with new single tracks such as “Garden” and most recently the dark pop of “Holy Water,” which Pigeons and Planes described as “hauntingly beautiful”.

We here at Discobelle can now offer up the astounding remix for the single “Garden” by well renowned Swedish artist and producer Dan Lissvik (who is perhaps best known for his previous work with balearic disco/pop outfit Studio along with production and remix projects for the likes of Young Galaxy, Taken By Trees, HAIM, Foals, and Kylie Minogue). Dan Lissvik takes the discoish sound of the original version and adds on a warm electronic sprinkle making this a blissful track for all those late summer nights.

Gundelach is currently working on his debut LP but catch him live at the following upcoming dates:

Fri, Aug 18 // Bornholm, Denmark @ Wonderfestiwall
Wed, Sept 20 // Oslo, Norway @ Parkteatret
Fri, Sept 22 // Gothenburg, Sweden @ HokiMoki

Los Angeles artist Gaby Hernandez just released her third album “Spirit Reflection” via Mr Bongo and it’s latin, tropicalia, folk, electronica and jazz seamlessly blended together on a warm, dreamlike and sparkling album.

“Spirit Reflection” features a stellar line-up of LA talent; jazz star Kamasi Washington, Stuart Howard (AKA Lapalux), Kelis and Gaslamp killer collaborator Dexter Story, plus Ninja Tune, Plug Research and Soul Jazz artist Carlos Niño, Miguel Atwood-Ferguson and Gabriel Reyes-Whittaker.

This is the premiere of the visuals for the track “Super Nova Lovers”.

Swiss songwriter/vocalist/producer HUGOwho is back following the success of his 2014 debut, the “I Am Not Hugo” EP with a fresh comeback single in “Holding On.” The first track to be lifted off his upcoming ‘Another’ EP, “Holding On” features a powerful combination of original synths and pop catchiness accentuated by HUGOwho’s stellar vocals. Speaking about the track and the upcoming EP, HUGOwho explains: “My music should be an honest experience in sound and emotion, simple, without hiding behind anything. I really just got crazy with my vision and my emotions. My life changed a lot since I moved to London because all of the sudden I was alone, disconnected, but it made me feel and think a lot about myself and my music. It’s not about playing some crazy chords and be like super fancy about it. I want my music to be simple and powerful. in order that as many people can relate to the feeling. ‘Holding On’ is a track about loving someone too hard while realizing to let go of everything in order to grow individually and together.”

Copenhagen-based producer O/RIOH with a hauntingly beautiful electronica remix of the track “Give Me Your Heart” from fellow Danes in duo Feel Freeze.

“‘Give Me Your Heart’ is about love on several levels. First of all, the song is about falling deeply in love without looking back. It is a song about that moment where everything comes together and feels magical. But the song is also about universal love between people across borders, cultures, and norms. It’s about lowering the barricades and facing the world with openness and trust. It’s about listening to what others have to say with an open heart. Therefore, we always encourage people to hug a stranger when we play this song live. We want to unite.”

We can premiere Amalie Sillat directed the visuals for the track which features friends of Feel Freeze declaring their love and respect for eachother right here on Discobelle.

The soundtrack to our summer comes from Swedish artist Sportsman who just delivered his debut album “Neverland”, 11 tracks of glorious, dreamy and elegant sounding pop music with r’n’b and soul influences.

The amazing Finnish duo Femme En Fourrure return with a new single “So Good At This” (out tomorrow May 5th via FEF Corp, it’s a duet between Femme En Fourrure and Russian-born, Helsinki-based, CSCN label signee vivienxo) which is basically leftfield pop perfection with a blend of beautiful hypnotic vocals and light keys with more ominous sounding elements.

The track is described as being “a call to arms against in the combat to defeat prejudice based on gender, sexuality, ethnicity, disability, religious beliefs or any other form of intolerance”.
