Australian artist cln just delivered a chill electronic ballad “Waiting For You” that is filled with raw emotion and grit. This dreamy release featuring his own vocals is a glimpse into what is to come on his debut album.
I’m not here to advocate covering Fleetwood Mac. Rumours remains the perfect album. It needs no improving. That said, if you’re going to revisit the turbulent act’s glory days, do so with the blissful energy and aura of Jaguar Dreams. The New York trio takes on one hell of a task, lacing ‘Dreams’ with aptly sedative melodies and a docile beat, but emerge with a respectful nod to one of Mac’s most memorable cuts from the classic 1977 LP.
Pale Blue is a critically acclaimed techno duo that consists of the legendary New Jersey-based Mike Simonetti (an old friend of us at here at Discobelle, of Troubleman and Italians Do It Better fame) and Liz Wight. Pale Blue is a response to modern dance music and its constant fluctuations.
Back in 2015, they released their debut album entitled “The Past We Leave Behind”, a sublime album released via 2MR Records that incorporates rhythmic techno, atmospheric ambient productions, noise, drone, dream pop and lush vocals.
We at Discobelle are super excited to premiere the video for the title track.
“When the Pale Blue album came out, the idea was to make a video for this song and to release it as a single (the way normal people release music)- since it’s our most “pop” song. I contacted my friend and “art guy” Branko Vranic and asked him if he could make a video that involves old photos of my family, up until I reached high school because high school is when life changes. I wanted to photos to be rapid fire because that’s how fast time goes by. But after the video was finished I decided to shelve it. I didn’t think it was something people would be interested in seeing, and maybe it was too cheesy and nostalgic for techno/house/etc… This month is the three year anniversary of the video’s completion. A lot of crazy stuff has happened in those three years. As the world we once knew appears to be inching away from us, something as simple as family and nostalgia seems more relevant than ever.”

“What I want to convey musically with Owl Light is a state of being, like dreaming away, stopping for a while to live in your imagination, travelling forward, letting a wave grab hold of you and floating with it.” – Henric Claes
“Owl Light” (released today via Adrian Recordings) is the first taste from his solo debut EP “I Wake up with the Sun in My Eyes”.
London based artist Lucy Mason had a great run last year with the release of her hit single “Hunger” that was followed up by her critically acclaimed debut EP and praise from the likes of The Independent, The Metro, Wonderland, The 405 and The Line Of Best Fit.
She just signed to Anti-Fragile and she has alot on the horizon for 2018, starting with the release of her new track “Save Your Breath” which you can listen to exclusively right here on Discobelle. The track itself is a beautiful and haunting dream pop gem.
She’s performing in Berlin on March 12th.
