Up and coming EDM/dance-pop artist Digrasso hails from Stockholm and “Make It Last” is his newest single and it’s an instant hit with its pop sensibility, shimmering synthwork, and infectious vocals. We here at Discobelle are very excited to be able to bring you the premiere of the visuals for the single.

With this track I wanted to catch a more chill vibe. My earlier releases have been quite powerful sonically. So I wanted to make “Make It Last” stick out by being a bit more chill yet still very me. The inspiration for “Make It Last” came from the track “Wild Side” by Mötley Crue. I always liked their music and as a thank you for the inspiration. I paid tribute to them by opening “Make It Last” with the words ‘’I took a walk on the wild side’’. I’m so glad for the way this track came out, it always brings a smile to my face. And I think it will for you too.”

Avant-EDM outfit Amnesia Scanner is the brainchild of Finnish/Berlin duo Martti Kalliala and Ville Haimala, new single “AS Acá” is their first release since the critically acclaimed album “Another Life” (released via Berlin-based label PAN last year) and the first song to surface from their new collaboration with Peruvian musician and artist Lalita. More music from Amnesia Scanner and Lalita’s collaboration is forthcoming.

Banger of a track from Finnish producer Rony Red, featuring Carla Monroe (who wrote/sang MK’s “17”) on vocal duties. “Milk It”  is a fun and bouncy track that has the makings of a hit, while managing to reflect Rony Rex’s style and mantra to a tee. Monroe’s vocals and Rex’s production chops combine for a delightful final product that Rex claims “has a message I can align myself with,” with vocalist and songwriter Carla Monroe explaining further that the song “celebrates success – investing the sweat, grit and determination to make a dream reality and then making the most of the moment to celebrate when it all pays off; ie “Milking It’.”

Stockholm newcomer LIOHN disappeared from the spotlight for a minute, but after rallying some serious production energy on duties for Axwell, Ingrosso and Swedish House Mafia, the young contender returns to a sound truer to the material that marked his debut solo EP. On official remix duties for Lil Skies moment in the spotlight “Red Roses”, LIOHN leads with fierce beats and restrained synth work throughout, giving the track enough breathing room to stay true to the lyrical emphasis of ‘Red Roses’ whilst remind fans there’s still an untamed edge to LIOHN’s production finesse.

Born in the Dominican Republic and more recently cut from the bubbling Los Angeles circuit, Jarina De Marco is more than ready to step up as leading lady. Produced by genre defying duo GTA, who the rising artist donned her vocal chops for on “True Romance,” latest solo moment “STFU” oozes the attitude and eccentric electronic energy we have come to expect from De Marco and newfound label mates Mad Decent. As an outspoken newcomer providing seriously powerful solo material, we can’t help but feel Jarina De Marco is an essential addition to the Mad Decent family.

There’s not many people that can get away with remixing Kendrick Lamar these days. Then there’s Skrillex. Having barely caught his breath from dropping the Poo Bear accompanied ‘Would You Ever,’ his take on ‘HUMBLE’ builds into a heavystepping affair of the kind of main room wizardry we have come to expect from Sonny Moore for more than a decade. Here’s to the A-list EDM acts keeping it fun and not falling flat on the A-list remix endeavors.

This new one from SWEDUM couldn’t be titled more appropriately. “Summer State of Mind” is the debut single from TENACITY, a brand new label from TEN Music Group home to dynamic talents like Zara Larsson, Icona Pop, Erik Hassle, Elliphant, etc. The new alias of Mack, a creative force behind the Zara Larsson project, serves as yet another outlet for the accomplished songwriter to flex his talents. As cliché as this may sound.. this is truly the perfect summer tune.

Hesitated from categorizing this EP as EDM but I don’t think that takes away from how fun it is. As much as there needs to be a healthy dose of weird, avant-garde music to feed the masses, duos like CHIMES are making good ol’ dance music with great success. Their five-track Ninety Four EP is sure to be a welcome addition to your easy listening or pre-game. Check it out below or on Spotify here.
