Lisbon producer/dj’s Branko and PEDRO (formerly known as King Kong) collaborate on the hypnotic sounding, funked up tribal club bomb “MPTS” (= a shortened, Portuguese SMS term for “Meus Putos” — which loosely translates to meaning “my crew”). The track is released via Enchufada and it’s the first in a series of new Branko singles, his first new material since 2016’s much acclaimed “Reserva Pra Dois” and follows up the 2017 compilation “Enchufada Na Zona”.

We’re starting the weekend with a bang courtesy of this premiere of the seriously addictive “afro-tuga” (the combination of grime/kuduro/bashment/UK funky) remix by acclaimed Portuguese duo Octa Push of UK based outfit Afriquoi and their single track “Sare” (taken from the “Abobo Nation – Part 1 (Remixes)” release that is dropping on October 28th via Wormfood Records.
Man Recordings founder and Berlin based dj/producer Daniel Haaksman just dropped his new album “African Fabrics”, the album explores a multiple of genres from the emerging urban African dance music sounds that are all becoming increasingly popular all over the globe. This is an album that’s filled with fantastic rhythms and beats, if you’re sitting still after the first track then that’s your loss. Guest appearances comes from among others from South African rapper Spoek Mathambo, kuduro inventor Tony Amado, Colombian guitarist Bulldozer, Portuguese punk kuduro trio Throes + The Shine and Ugandan singer Tshila.
After travelling to Lisbon, New York, São Paulo, Cape Town, and Amsterdam, and working with 20+ collaborators including Mr.Carmack, DJ Sliink, Princess Nokia, Capadose, and more, co-founder of legendary global bass music phenomena Buraka Som Sistema – Branko – has made his solo debut with the fantastic fulllength album “Atlas”. Branko arrives at Output in New York on Wednesday September 30th for a special label night, Enchufada x Que Bajo?!, with Dengue Dengue Dengue, Geko Jones, and Uproot Andy.
