After the success of his recently released album “Invisible”, much acclaimed German house DJ/producer Sharam Jey is set to release the second instalment of the album’s stellar remix package, “Invisible – The Remix Album (Part 2)”, via Bunny Tiger Records on December 10th (Part 1 of the remix package dropped about two weeks ago)

The full 22 track remix album (Part 1 and Part 2) follows the original LP (released back in September) which saw him deliver 14 synth laced tracks that drew inspiration from the likes of Giorgio Moroder, Röyksopp, Daft Punk and Depeche Mode with guest vocal contributions from Little Boots, Dirty Vegas, KLP, Kat, Dacia Bridges and Ashibah.

The second remix package includes reworks by the likes of likes of Kolombo and Mason, we here at Discobelle can premiere the remix from UK based producer Vanilla Ace which makes sure to transform the track “Planet Love” into a steadfast, deep house groover that will make wonders on dancefloors.

All in all, the new remix album complements the original LP perfectly and serves up an intriguing variety of dancefloor ready tracks by a handpicked array of international talents.

The boys of N i G H T S continue their streak of hot releases. Their latest comes fresh off the 2 track EP with the single “Boyband”  and a B-side track “Mojo.” The two have created waves with their R&B/Electronica style, but have given us a fresh new sound bending the Hip-Hop genre.

One of the hottest imprints at the moment, Strange Fruits, seems to find a way to constantly discover new talent. The label’s latest release “Dance with Me” comes as a massive collaboration between artists HAZE, Breeze, and Bengston. This dance pop track is destined to be massive with huge sound design and original melodies.

Up and coming singer songwriter LILA DREW follows up one of my favorite releases “faded/2AM”, which she made with GoldLink, with her new cute single “november.” It’s so easy to get lost in her salacious voice, and lovable lyricism.

Feb – No More

Dec 3 2018

If I were to imagine a dance floor in the 80’s, I’d picture this tune from Feb being played on repeat. His latest “No More” is a disco smash that is sure to brighten your day.

Hot damn! That’s really all I can say about this new release from ZENDR and James Chatburn. The two combined forces to bring “Simply No Better” and they are on some future Outkast type sound. Prepare for a massive lift off from these two artists.

The thing you love about Norwegian artist/crooner Unge Ferrari might just be the thing you hate about him, he’s unpredictable and something of a chameleon. With his debut album “Midt imellom magisk og manisk” (roughly translates to “Inbetween Magical and Manical”) that dropped today via Nora Collective, his lyrics and the theme of his tracks have never before hit this close to home.

It might not be unique or groundbreaking that an artist writes about their own life, the fact that you might have heard these stories before doesn’t take anything away from Unge Ferraris accomplishments with his album, he shows that it’s alright to sing about things that are difficult and at the same time he packages the tracks in productions that encourages you to have a good time.

“I’ve never worked on a more painful project than this, at times I pulled my hair and felt like crying because it felt like I wasn’t getting anything from the process. This album has made me feel prouder than anything else in my life”

With nominations for the Norwegian Grammys, platinum selling records, sold out tours, shows at the largest music festivals in Norway and beyond, praise both nationally and internationally it’s easy to forget that there’s two sides to every story. The last year has been both magical and manical for Unge Ferrari and the work with album has proven to be a therapeutic process where the result is an invitation to his feelings and to the hardships that he’s been through. A trip to the absolute bottom was needed for him to realize that he needed to make some serious changes in his life in order to make it out.

Luckily for us, both his spiritual journey and his physical journey from Miami to Haugesund in Norway culminates in his new album. He shows us that you never really know where he is at musically which the two album singles “Ung & Dum” and “Balkong” shows. The fact that he’s in constant movement but also puts his unique spin on everything he touches is what makes his unpredictability so welcoming. In collaboration with amazing producers such as internationally renowned producer Lido, Coucheron, Filip Kollsete, Vinter and Axxe his sound is defined and his constant search for progress makes the album “Midt imellom magisk og manisk” showcases a new side of Unge Ferrari but with a well-known foundation.

Zes – Follow

Nov 29 2018

The latest single to drop on the Cloudkid imprint “Follow” by ZES is by far one of the most unique songs I have ever heard. The artistic creation fills a void of emotion with its somber tone, but uplifting melody.
