Sicilian based producer 1984 joins in on the fun with the TT Testar Musik project and remixes the dreamy pop single “Summer Of Tick Bugs” from Britta Persson, Daniel Gilbert and Jepson into a stuttering techhhouse track that will set dancefloors on fire.

The exclusive vinyl single was released last week in 100 copies, 40 of these are available via tictail.se, 20 copies each are sold at Pet Sounds in Stockholm, Bengans in Gothenburg and Folk å Rock in Malmö. The single costs 50 SEK with all proceeds going to the Black Sheep music projects for kids.

1984 – Bsnez

May 8 2013

Grab the pumping track “Bsnez” from Italian producer 1984 below.

Back in March Discobelle Records dropped the globally minded “La Mecca” EP. four big tracks of horns, cowbells and deeply percussive techno music. If you missed the Brodinski-lauded NT89 remix that left melon sized lazer holes in dancefloors everywhere it was dropped, it’s not too late to still grab it over here.

But now 1984 have shared the somewhat mysteriously titled “Theme from 1984″ track with us and it’s a gem – seven and a half minutes of rollicking, sliding grooving techno, maracas and bongos mingling with a chopped up vocal exertion that’s all set in motion by a pulsing bass driven beat.

World renowned Montreal born dj, turntablist and producer A-Trak runs a label called Fool’s Gold and now we get Fool’s Gold Radio where the July mix features, yeah you guessed it, A-Trak himself. Not only does it include a new Duck Sauce track, he includes the NT89 remix of the 1984 track “Arabesque” which we here at Discobelle Records released on the “La Mecca” EP back in March. Now do what he tells you, listen to or download the mix and then: “go dance in front of the mirror”.

1984 released his debut EP “La Mecca” right here on Discobelle Records a couple of months ago and it’s been getting some amazing feedback. Diplo just played one of the tracks from the EP on his latest Sirius/XM “Blow Your Head”-show (he also played Brenmars “Taking It Down”). 1984 also got a new mix out that you should check out. He’s got some pure fire in there.

You can also check out 1984 performing at Starlight festival with Mathias Khaden, J-Wow (Buraka Som Sistema), Blatta & Inesha, Gigi Barocco etc. on August 9-10th, then on August 13th at the Not Festival with Apparat, Carl Craig, Francesco Tristano etc. and finally on the 14th at the Sicily Music Village with Goose, Kissogram, Jeff Mills and more.

As a bonus we received this new track from him:
