A-Trak Serato discs give away

whitelabel-promo-picture-disk

We got hold of two new A-Trak Serato discs to give away. Everybody needs one!

“Adding another layer of “I gotta’ have this!” to the mix, custom artwork from the Brooklyn-based artist Dust La Rock graces the disc. The design features Dust La Rock’s newly-iconic “Mr. A” figure, lifted from the cover of the A-Trak Original Run album.

As A-Trak explains, “It’s the first official Serato picture disk on their Whitelabel.net label. I used to test out their beta version way before it was available commercially – so now it all came full circle.

Only 1,000 promo pieces of the limited-edition control vinyl picture discs were manufactured. The majority of these will be shipped worldwide to Serato and Whitelabel.net DJs, while a holdback of 50 discs will be exclusively available through select online partners.”

All we want you to do to have a chance to win one of them is to embed DJ Sal Kirdkin’s latest mix on your webpage (blog, myspace, what ever) and send us an e-mail telling us that you put it up (and where). We will then draw two lucky winners!

Fools Gold are on a mighty roll right now with some banging releases. We’ve got two sweet tracks for you, first out is Sammy Bananas along with wonderful singstress Maggie Horn for a funked up cover of the T-Pain & Weezy track “Can’t Believe It”. Then A-Trak goes into party hip hop mode for his remix of “Bounce” from fellow Canadian duo MSTRKRFT. Gold indeed.

Yet another excellent track from Hervé, this time it’s a joint effort with big wig producer A-Trak that also features Canadian rapper Cadence Weapon. This track, “Roll With The Winners”, is off the recent Mixmag CD, it will be on the American version of the Machines Don’t Care album and this is one seriously hot jam.

Me And My Sneakers

No one could have missed that A-Trak got a new Nike+ mix out. Yesterday A-Trak dropped the track with Lupe Fiasco that was originally was recorded for the mix but then was replaced with the same track but with Kid Cudi.

Here are both versions so that you can decided who did the best job with the track.

Nadastrom

Friday, May 9th, 2008

Since I’m out of words on how to write another post about American Boy I’m going to leave it to the promo mail we got:

“Washington, DC figureheads Dave Nada and Matt Nordstrom first joined forces in the fall of 2007 for their weekly party “trap”. Every week after some heavy drinking, the two discussed the meaning of life and a few song ideas they had. Their initial tracks caught the attention of Dave “Switch” Taylor who immediately wanted them for his legendary Dubsided imprint. With tunes getting support from the likes of Diplo, A-trak, Tittsworth, The Rub, Craze, Klever, Drop the Lime, and Jokers of the Scene, these dudes look to set the game on fire. Here’s a preview…”

New NADASTROM EP coming soon on Dubsided! Stay tuned for an all new Dubsided website!!
