This Is Head

Local Malmö quartet This Is Head just signed to local label Adrian Recordings (home to Boeoes Kaelstigen, Andreas Tilliander, Familjen etc.) and the debut album “0001″ will drop sometime in March. This twisting and shuffling remix by Dan Lissvik (of Studio fame) is featured on their “0002″ 12″ that was released a little while ago.

“Their music is best described as a mix between discovery channel, autobahn & cars crashing. There are also a touch of 70’s spacerock & 80’s indierock.”

Bounce

“Club Animal – Gothenburg, Sweden 2009. BMK (Blandmissbruk) took the stage for their final performance which ended with on-stage tension and backstage drama. It started with too many drinks and a trigger happy partner smashing the beat-repeat function on a Pioneer mixer. It ended in fisticuffs and a lonely drive back to the hood for L.A. Diamond with cash and laptop in hand. Oddly the night ended with the new track “Bounce” which is featured on this single that had the crowd on its feet and in the air (get it on iTunes). This is the beginning of something new with former BMKer L.A. Diamond coming into his own and taking his experiences of living in California and Brazil to the beats. The response from former collaborator, Tjuv, may be in the making but until then only the diamond shines. To quote this track… “Bounce motherfucka”. This release features a Krazy Baldhead-like remix by the techno-vampires Ungt Blod and an Eric B. & Rakim inspired remix by the mysterious Tanimura Midnight. L.A. Diamond is rumored to contain members of New Moscow (who have collaborated with Andreas Tilliander).”

Adrian Recordings Sunday Advent Mixtapes #2: Krazy Fiesta

Discobelle brethren Adrian Recordings joins forces with amazing duo Krazy Fiesta for the second Advent Mixtape this year. Top notch as usual, they manage to drill down some unexpected moves. Like the remix from Leo Nathorst, one half of Boeoes Kaelstigen, and their own unexpected live dub of Andreas Tilliander’s track “She Don’t Cry”. Extra sugar on top is the shouts coming from Lorentz of Lorentz & M.Sakarias. Exclusive, interesting and danceable, just like we want it.

It’s all about the bear

It’s like The Bear Quartet is the Swedish indie-band that always been there. They have released 13 or so albums since the early 90s and now they are back on one of our favourite labels Adrian Recordings. The track “Millions” is a teaser on what to expect from their new album ”89”, that will be out on the wonderful date 090909 (you can pre-order it here). Here is also the first ever remix of a The Bear Quartet track from non other then the wonderful Andreas Tilliander.

Andreas Tilliander vs. Boeoes Kaelstigen

Our favorite Swedish techhouse outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen goes in clinch with fellow Swedish tech veteran Andreas Tilliander with a remix of his latest single “Caught In A Riot”. That moody and eerie sound of Boeoes might be our preferred winter music but it works surprisingly well when the sun is shining.

BONUS: Remix of the track “Arlanda” (that features vocals from Jocke Berg, singer in Swedish indie superstars Kent) by the one and only Familjen.

“Familjen don’t need any introduction. He has conquered the world with his Scandia vocals and neon fluorescent electro bounces. Especially the hit “Det snurrar i min skalle”. Andreas Tilliander has travelled with Familjen around the world as a live musician, and this is his way to pay him back. A really Detroit-like playful and really simple version, for the floor.”

Caught In A Riot (remix pack)

Malmö is the techno Berlin of Sweden. All the late night illegal clubs pumping steady bass drums, speaks for themselves. What happens if you take Malmö’s three best underground youngsters and team them up with legendary Swedish techno producer Andreas Tilliander? You get the best of the best. The freshest of the fresh. Andreas Tilliander’s new album “Show” is out in Scandinavia on May 6th. The rest of the world will follow. This is 3 remixes of his new single “Caught In A Riot”.

Adrian Recordings gives you The Sound of Young Malmö:

Per Hammar – Just recently released the monumental “Blockbuster EP” on Playectra Records. This instrumental take of “Caught In A Riot” makes us think of open seas and night dancing on white beaches.

Staffan Lindberg – Everyone in Malmö has danced to Staffan. Everybody knows him. What might be new is that he is not just Malmös sluttiest DJ. He is a hell of a producer as well. This take is in our face, on the floor, through the ceiling.

Karachi – Adrian Recordings has met Karachi once before. He did one of the best remixes for Boeoes Kaelstigens Commuting Colour Remixes. Adam Lundberg commutes to Berlin and the greyness in his music makes us dwell over ramshackle squat houses and dripping water. His take is epic, atmospheric and oh so beautiful in all its darkness. And yeah….it is over 16 minutes long.
