Hailing from Brisbane, Australia, producer Young Franco dropped some absolute fire. This latest release “About this Thing” features vocals from Scrufizzer. The track is as bouncy as anything I have ever heard. The lyricism from Scrufizzer is super unique and gives the song a real feel good vibe.

Australian artist cln just delivered a chill electronic ballad “Waiting For You” that is filled with raw emotion and grit. This dreamy release featuring his own vocals is a glimpse into what is to come on his debut album.

Described as ‘an outlet for his more emotional outpourings,’ Sydney based mainstays, Matt Van Schie (Van She/Du Tonc) and Michael Di Francesco (Touch Sensitive) unleash a tidal wave of ocular juice as Tear Council via their debut cut,’Anywhere.’ Taking you back to the rhythm of the 80s and “Drive”-esque memories from summer days past, “Anywhere” will make you relive those throwback-thrills – an experience that is guaranteed to get you on your feet. With a video for “Anywhere” scheduled for March, and their music credentials and fashion game already strong, Tear Council are ready to take 2015 by storm.

Oddly named, Australian whiz-kid, Jad & Ladyboy…. who also runs with the likes of MITZI and Twiggy Lashes, dropped this sweet little bootie in my box the other week and boy, I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t a stomper! Taking the scalpel to the inimitable Curtis Mayfield, Jad tastefully slices up the funk, layering it upon a bumping house groove. If you know better, you’d download this, FAST!

Take note lads and lasses, if you don’t know Paces, you obviously haven’t got buck on any dance floor from The Gold Coast to the Jersey Shore…. which is a damn shame. The Aussie beat-smith is tearing up the blogs and charting on Hype Machine with tunes from his sophomore release, Julian EP on highly lauded imprint, DIEHIGH.

With a debut on Kastle’s Symbols label, Paces hones his trademark sound on this new release and confirms that indeed, lighting can strike twice. Featuring the silky vocal talents of Aussie siren, Erin Marshall, ‘Julian’ is equal parts tropical, Jersey club and 100% hot…perfect for those steamy nights down under. Coupled with remixes from 813, Chiefs and the b-side, ‘Open Your Eyes,’ the Julian EP is essential listening for all discerning dance music fans.

This one slipped through to the keeper, to use a trite slither of cricketing argot, but the keeper, realizing his clumsiness, went and picked it up again. He then put it on a music blog. He then had a sandwich, followed by a quick nap.

‘Progressive Trap’ is not a genre I really want to take off and/or even exist but if some of it sounds a tad like this – classic Deadmau5 on that Lean – one shan’t complain too vociferously.

Styalz is an Australian multi-instrumentalist with credits ranging from Chamillionaire to Joel Compass. Stuck Note is the new nom de plume for point zero-five of a well known big room act from Australia with Axtone affiliations – one we’ve featured on the Belle recently. Guess who.

Client Liaison

Oct 22 2013

1980’s schlock-pop duo Client Liaison began life as algae scoured from the hull of Alan Bond’s America’s Cup winning vessel in 1983. Or maybe they were derived from cells extracted from the saliva gland of the dingo that stole Azaria Chamberlain… Can’t quite recall. At any rate, the Melbourne pair were cultured in a petrie dish, deep within the bowels of a high-security CSIRO research lab on the outskirts of Ferntree Gully (past Murrumbeena on the Dandenong line for any Australians playing at home). In 2012 they arrived emerged fully formed with their achingly accurate homage to 80’s Australiana, the track End Of The Earth.

Something of a retro pop-curio in Australia, Client Liaison aren’t giving up the Gordon Gekko schtick just yet. Bask in this sultry ballad, harkening back to a simpler time when ‘Climate Change’ referred to a dial behind the secretary’s desk and AIDS hadn’t become a plot device in several broadway musicals.
