Malmö producer Bam Spacey just announced that his upcoming debut full length, “1998” will be released October 14th through Ceremony (& Luxury in Scandinavia).

First single “Upplyst” just surfaced and it’s a beautiful composition of piano driven, dreamlike pop muting into more of a housey affair.

Bam Spacey is the alter ego of Malmö based producer Magnus Johansson, The Soft are a pop-leaning post-dubstep trio from Suffolk, England. Their debut EP “Uncanny Valley” was released by New York label Ceremony Recordings back in September to much acclaim.

Bam Spacey does indeed keep it to a bare minimum when he gives us a pitter patter of drums before adding a cowbell into the mix in a lush sounding and soft spoken remix.

PS. Bam Spacey will play in Gothenburg on December 14th.

Malmö based producer, Magnus Johansson aka Bam Spacey unleashes new single “River” today, this is the first bit of new music coming from Bam Spacey since the release of the “Land EP”. He will release a new, proper album later this year.

We here at Discobelle are glad that we can premiere his own extended thumping yet still smooth and balaericlike edit of the single along with a hi-hat fueled remix from Glenn Jackson.

One of our favorite pre-Christmas traditions is the Advent Sunday Mixtape series from Malmö label Adrian Recordings where a producer/dj mixes his favorite tracks from the label’s output during the year.

We missed to post the first edition done by Bam Spacey last sunday but you can find that below, here’s a superb mixtape from Malmö dj and Geography Records co-founder Oscar Villata done live in one take beacuse that’s just how he rolls.

Tracklists after the jump.
