Australian producer Beni just released his debut album “House Of Beni” from which we lifted the track “Zig Zags” that features the delicate vocals of Via Tania. This is not the club banger that you would expect from Beni but instead it’s a breeze of light with a soft piano lingering underneath.

Australia’a very own purveyor of all-things-house – Beni – unleashed his debut album “House Of Beni” on Modular Records October 11th. Second single “Someone Just Like You” features vocal offerings from Mattie Safer (who used to be in The Rapture). We have a Discobelle exclusive in the form of this dark remix from acclaimed Swedish producer Style Of Eye that tweaks the original into sounding more like something you’d listen while racing down the highway in a manic state, we’re talking a sinister big room remix that in its path will only leave pulverized dancefloors.

New Modular fam Beni has just dropped a remix of a cut from his new Chicago house influenced forthcoming album, which’ll be featuring collaborations with Sam Sparro, Mattie Safer (The Rapture), Nomi from Hercules and Love Affair, and Via Tania.

Brussels based DJ The Magician gives it a percolating remix that’s warmer than a hot bath in the middle of winter. Download it from Soundcloud below!

We got a remix by Beni (Kitsune) from a very cool up ‘n’ coming band called Jump Jump Dance Dance. It’s for their second single ‘Modern Eyes’.

Also check out the video here, which was directed by Clemens Habicht who did the fantastic clip of ‘Skeleton Boy’ by Friendly Fires, and is based on a psychological phenomenon called ‘pareidolia’ where humans imagine faces in objects!

Ellie Jackson AKA La Roux and her amazing synthy electropop track “Quicksand” gets a remix treatment from Australian producer Beni fame who turns it into a full blown electro banger, just listen to that crunchy bass that drops around the 1 minute mark. The single will be released on December 15th by premier French label Kitsuné and will also feature remixes from autoKratz and Chateau Marmont.

Relish EP II

Greg from Relish Recordings sent this track to us the other day. “My Love Needs You” is taken from the upcoming “Relish Compilation EP II” (which will be released in June) and it was made by Beni from hard hitting Australian techno duo Riot In Belgium (you know, the ones who did the 2007 anthem “La Musique”). This is a fine bleepy electro track with a pouncing squiggly synthline, 8-bit sounds and handclaps (check the break around the 5:35 mark, it’s sweet).
