After burning through a very impressive set of afternoon house at the sunsoaked Boiler Room x Red Bull Guest House in Miami, we now get a preview of the upcoming Bicep single “Stash” which will drop on AUS Music on April 15th. Already seeing alot of praise, this single showcases the development that Bicep has done.

Starting off with a wailing police siren and sampling Omar Little from The Wire, the B-side track “The Game” then builds steadily with a lonely piano and melancholic synths sounding similar to something from the Chromatics catalogue but then adds more of a punch to make it go over on the dancefloor.

UK duo Bicep with a mastered version of their sought after funky house track “Feel It”, “NY/UKG crossover feel… fun ‘n’ bumpin’, hope you like it!” which sounds great on a day like today.

BONUS: “Night Trax” is a new mix they unleashed today for their 4th anniversary.

“We recorded this mix for Night People radio last month… something we wanted to take you into those late morning afterhours with. A selection of our favourite jamz we play over the hours of some of our longer sets, some old stuff, some new stuff… many will recognise from recent sets.

KEEP IT DEEP!”

After five years of running the highly popular and much lauded blog Feel My Bicep, releasing a string of productions and remixes while also DJing consistently all around the world, setting up a label seemed like the next logical step for Dublin duo Bicep. The aim of the label is to release fun and varied music produced only by themselves, the one condition the boys gave themselves was to maintain full creative control to take the the label in whichever direction they desired. The inaugural release “Vision Of Love” will drop September 24th and showcases the love they have for early US house music but with an updated twist.

We asked London producer Clancy to put together a mix for us for obvious reasons; great producers also have great taste in music. Clancy’s music rides the line between house and disco, with well-produced remixes and originals that can get a dance party started night or day. There’s never a “drop,” that would be too easy. Instead, Clancy creates pent up feeling and emotion that’s released in a steady dose. Clancy has recently been getting a lot of attention for the single “Lightbox,” the first in a series of originals to be released over the coming months. In the meantime, take a listen to Clancy’s “Leisure Time” mix for Discobelle to satiate your palette.

“Mixes aren’t something I put together for streaming very often so I really enjoyed doing this one. I wanted to showcase some of the tracks that have been doing it for me over the last few months, both new and some even older, in order to give an insight into what has been influencing my sets and productions. I’ve always liked to play music that gets both girls and boys on the dance floor and this mix highlights some of the tunes that have done that for me. Big thanks to the guys at Discobelle for asking me to put this together.”
