15-year old rising starlet Billie Eilish is one of the most talked-about artists in the indie pop scene right now and IMO, for good reason. Together, with her 19-year old producer brother Finneas, the siblings combine to make a style of music that is quite unique. “hostage” is the track i’ve chosen to highlight from her new don’t smile at me now EP and it’s hauntingly beautiful. I can’t wait to see her live and lucky for us, she might be coming to you sooner than you realize. More info here and you should definitely peep the whole EP.
Oh Billie – your voice is like butter melting on a big ol’ pile of flapjacks at brunch after a long night of drinking. “idontwannabeyouanymore” is smooth, addictive, and further convinces me that you are well on your way to bonafide stardom. A true starlet amongst wannabes.
New new from wunderkind starlet Billie Eilish titled, “watch.” The appropriately-titled single is chalk-full of the sensual vibes and stellar vocals that the young songwriter has become known for. Produced by her own 19-year old brother Finneas, “watch” is “The song is about letting go of someone toxic and moving on.” She elaborates by saying “Setting your ex’s car on fire is a pretty horrible thing to do… but I can think of worse things.”
This is a combination I couldn’t ignore. I’ve become a huge fan of Billie Eilish over the past few months and Marian Hill absolutely kills it on this remix. Eilish has one of those voices that makes you feel so much emotion at once. It’s perfectly maneuverable and it’s pretty clear that the Marian Hill duo is capable of making any track their own. Listen and love it.
I have a crush on Billie Eilish and I have no shame in denying it. In a never-ending sea of indie-pop artists, Eilish continues to shine through her carefree charisma and irresistible vocals. Her new song “Bellyache” left me with a heartache, as the starlet’s vocals intertwine effortlessly with a delicate bed of guitar strums. I can’t stop listening… but that doesn’t bother me one bit.
Hauntingly beautiful remix from Jerry Folk as he puts a unique spin on Billie Eilish’s “Six Feet Under.” Folk is no stranger to the spotlight – the Oslo native and creative talent behind the megahit “To My Soul” seems to crank out hits on the whim but his newest remix is one for the soul.
