This Is Head

Local Malmö quartet This Is Head just signed to local label Adrian Recordings (home to Boeoes Kaelstigen, Andreas Tilliander, Familjen etc.) and the debut album “0001″ will drop sometime in March. This twisting and shuffling remix by Dan Lissvik (of Studio fame) is featured on their “0002″ 12″ that was released a little while ago.

“Their music is best described as a mix between discovery channel, autobahn & cars crashing. There are also a touch of 70’s spacerock & 80’s indierock.”

Adrian Recordings Sunday Advent Mixtapes #2: Krazy Fiesta

Discobelle brethren Adrian Recordings joins forces with amazing duo Krazy Fiesta for the second Advent Mixtape this year. Top notch as usual, they manage to drill down some unexpected moves. Like the remix from Leo Nathorst, one half of Boeoes Kaelstigen, and their own unexpected live dub of Andreas Tilliander’s track “She Don’t Cry”. Extra sugar on top is the shouts coming from Lorentz of Lorentz & M.Sakarias. Exclusive, interesting and danceable, just like we want it.

Jonathan Johansson – Aldrig ensam (Boeoes Kaelstigen remix)

Jonathan Johansson just released a new single on Hybris called “Aldrig ensam”.

But what is even more great about this is that it has a remix from our favourites Boeoes Kaelstigen on it. Been a while since we heard any life signs from them. We hear that the first single from their upcoming album will drop sometime in December and the album will be out in the spring of 2010. Great to have them back.

Scion 24: Boeoes Kaelstigen – Marsa

The final two tracks from our sampler are coming up, and we saved this dark tech anthem to the end. We posted a remix to this track a while back, but I think the original is a bit sharper.

Andreas Tilliander vs. Boeoes Kaelstigen

Our favorite Swedish techhouse outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen goes in clinch with fellow Swedish tech veteran Andreas Tilliander with a remix of his latest single “Caught In A Riot”. That moody and eerie sound of Boeoes might be our preferred winter music but it works surprisingly well when the sun is shining.

BONUS: Remix of the track “Arlanda” (that features vocals from Jocke Berg, singer in Swedish indie superstars Kent) by the one and only Familjen.

“Familjen don’t need any introduction. He has conquered the world with his Scandia vocals and neon fluorescent electro bounces. Especially the hit “Det snurrar i min skalle”. Andreas Tilliander has travelled with Familjen around the world as a live musician, and this is his way to pay him back. A really Detroit-like playful and really simple version, for the floor.”

Scion24: Marsa (Roqwell & I Sancho Let’s Have It Mix)

You didn’t think we we’re gonna release an album without having a bunch of remixes? Of course not. We put together Boeoes Kaelstigen and Sam Young. This is what we got:

Boeoes Kaelstigen mix

Our favorite Swedish tech-house outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen are back with a mix of some of their favorite tracks right now.

Boeoes Kaelstigen – Toppola

Our favorite Swedish techno outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen have garnered alot of attention this year with their previous releases of melodramatic techhouse. They just released a new EP on Koloni Records, it’s called “Toppola” and contains two new tracks. “Transpole” is a 7 minute ride of exactly what we’ve grown to love about Boeoes Kaelstigen. The track starts off with a slow clutter then the rolling rhythm starts and lures you in, transforming the track to a floating yet epic jam complete with synth stabs and a huge break.

Cecta (Krazy Fiesta remix)

As previously mentioned, Johan from Krazy Fiesta has relocated to Kenya. Still the duo manages to churn out anthemlike remixes, like this one of our favorite Swedish melancholic techno outfit Boeoes Kaelstigen which means that two of our favorite Swedish outfits join forces. Boeoes Kaelstigen just released the “Commuting Colours Remix EP” (on Adrian Recordings) from which this is taken. The Krazy Fiesta boys adds some swirling synths to this already amazing track and he stretches it to clock in at over 7 minutes of sheer brilliant deep techno that sounds like it was made for late nights in the cold north.
