Marine Parade just featured the AC Slater dub remix of the Freeland track “Only a Fool” on the new Freeland remix compilation “Cope Remixed”. Now, AC gives us the vocal version which stays true to his form of producing smashing tracks that also features some of that smittening wobble bass. AC Slater is about to put out a new single which will distributed for free via blogs in November and he also has a new single dropping in February on Trouble & Bass + his “Calm Down” EP will be released in March.
PS. Check AC Slater tearing it up across the US ending in a huge night in NYC on November 21st with Joker, Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. Here are the dates:

L-Vis 1990 just gave us permission to post his VIP edit of that epic remix of the Gucci Vump track “Sha! Shtil!” (you know, the track inspired by an old Jewish folk song). This can just be described as: huge!
Little Jinder is from Stockholm and signed to Trouble & Bass, Bok Bok hails from London and is all about bass. This is the new Little Jinder single “Youth Blood” that will be released December 1st. This remix of the track from Bok Bok is one funky congaed and synthed up corker of a track. (Via Fact Magazine)
Paris dynamic duo Kazey & Bulldog’s latest release, “Ridin’ High Vol. 1″ was just released last week. The vinyl is already sold out but they just unleashed the six b-more bangers on digital format (available over at the usual suspects such as Turntable Lab, Juno and Boomkat etc.). To get a feel what you’re in for, heres two tasters; The pitch shifting heater “Ballin” and “Big Truck II”, which is the sequel to the now classic club track from last year’s “Dirty Wheels EP” on Dress 2 Sweat (L-Vis 1990 & Bok Bok, Rod Lee, and many more).
Tomorrow night sees the third edition of Smuts, the club night we run together with the WooBanger boys at Babel here in Malmö. Last time we had Bok Bok and Spoek who both did a mighty fine job of trying to turn the house upside down, wednesday sees Italian gone Londoner Solo try to outdo them with his midget house sound. This remix of dynamic Milan duo Crookers track “Put Your Hands On Me” (released on Southern Fried Records a while ago) is his first offical one and for this occasion he decided to just use the accapella, transforming the track into a pure banger which has been a highlight in our sets lately.
Solo has been hard at work in the studio lately not just producing his own tracks or remixes but also producing beats. In the near future, we can expect an EP for Sound Pellegrino + a remix for Wiley and also remixes for some bigger names across the pond.
A few weeks ago we told you about our partnership with Night Slugs and Dress 2 Sweat for the release of the “Night Slugs” EP from London producers/dj’s Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. Well, the wait is over and the EP has begun to ship and has hit digital retailers already. Go grab it, you know that you need this in your life.
To celebrate this the final Dress 2 Sweat release – Bok Bok/L-Vis 1990 “Night Slugs EP” – and transforming into new label NumbersJackmaster mixed a special CD with highlights from the Dress 2 Sweat catalogue + we also have the new video from L-Vis 1990 for the VIP version of his stellar remix of the Gucci Vump track “Sha! Shtil!”.
UK genius L-Vis 1990 is definetely one of the most hyped up producers in 2009 going from strength to strength with his funky yet bass heavy releases; he started out with the massive “United Groove” single on Mad Decent, moved onto the recent smash “Night Slugs EP” together with fellow Londoner Bok Bok on Dress 2 Sweat and now he joins the ranks over at the new heavy hitters in Sound Pellegrino with his stunning “Compass/Zahonda EP”. Christian Martin (of Dirtybird fame) gives us his more evil electro/techno take on “Compass”.
Two of the most hyped up (and rightly so) dj’s/producers at the moment, L-Vis 1990 and Bok Bok, were recently invited to Londons premier radio station Rinse FM for a little b2b action and they sure did well on this one. One mighty mix/podcast of the best the UK has to offer.
Still reeling from last nights Smuts party with Bok Bok and Spoek, albeit the club wasn’t packed both Bok Bok and Spoek gave us a pounding with killer sets of bass induced madness and kwaito fun.
Anyway, we got something completely different than that with these two terrifyingly intriguing remixes by Salem of the Gucci Mane tracks “Bird Flu” and “Round One”.
Some shameless selfpromotion again, tomorrow night plays host for the second edition of Smuts at Babel right here in Malmö where yours truly together with Woobanger proudly presents fellow Grinder and producer/dj extraordinaire Bok Bok along with rapper Spoek Mathambo (of Sweat X fame).
Join us for what promises to be one of the best club nights this year in Malmö!
