Many Men by Gonzales

Teki hit us up with a little something to make us smile but we’ll let him do the talking.

“Here’s a little gift from my friend Gonzales (who as some of you may know is currently wrapping up his next album produced by none other than Boys Noize). It’s some sort of piano remix of the old 50 cent hit “Many Men”. It’s taken from his piano mixtape “Pianist’s Envy” dropping soon on the interwebs, on which he plays piano over rap instrumentals, remixes rap acapellas with piano on top, and re-arranges house songs piano/orchestra style, it’s pretty unique and amazing. Here’s a word about it from the maestro himself

“Chilly Gonzales presents the first-ever piano mixtape “Pianist’s Envy”. You know those rap beats and electro songs with almost nothing in them? “Tipsy”, “Grindin’”, “A Milli”, “Rollin’ and Scratchin’”, “Single Ladies”? Chilly goes all Liberace on these beats with his piano and his orchestra. Claude Von Stroke, 50 Cent, Kelly Clarkson, Rocky Balboa and Gonzo himself all make cameos. Dropping mid-February 2010 via chillygonzales.com.”

Boriqua

The Nouveau Yorican (brainchild of Gina Turner & Laidback Luke) single “Boriqua” (already garnered support from the likes of Boys Noize, Sinden, Worthy, Felix Cartal and Matt Walsh etc.) is released next week by the lovely fellas over at Sound Pellegrino and we have the Harvard Bass remix of “Boriqua” for your pleasure. This is what Teki had to say about the remix:

“The Harvard Bass version brings back sweaty disco images from our childhood through a symphony of synthetic strings of life, swiftly mutating into a massive electro house banger”.

Starter

Alex Ridha AKA Boys Noize and the track “Starter” from “Power” (dropping October 6th on Last Gang Records) which just happens to be one of the most anticipated dance album releases in 2009. This heavy electro track has alot going on and will most likely light up dancefloors all over the world.

Moda

This amazing track has been hyped up aplenty and it’s already been playlisted by the likes of Erol Alkan, Riton, Trevor Jackson, SMD, Pete Tong, Annie Mac, A-Trak, Boys Noize. Pretty much everyone has been holding their breaths waiting for this dancefloor destroyer from Retro/Grade (ie Serge Santiago and Tom Neville) to drop. “Moda” sees them pair up retro italo disco (those synths are to die for) with more modern electro sounds and it’s a winner. An album is anticipated for a 2010 release. (Thanks to Rebel Butterfly)
