Blo

London based UK funky/post dubstep/house producer and Rinse FM radio dj Brackles just finished his first mix CD, it was done for !K7 Records and is the inaugural release of their new mix series “Songs From Endless Cities” (to be released August 31st).

“Songs for Endless Cities aims to capture a slice of Brackles after hours and out of hours, with the afterglow still burning, maybe the rhythms still bumping, but with the freedom to rove around a bit, enjoying and exploring sound without always having to turn back to the dancefloor.”

On the mix CD we get a new track from Brackles. “Blo” is a track that floats into a deep, hypnotic mass of warm synths.

I Love London

We’ve had a thing for Crystal Fighters since the “Xtatic Truth” single (and especially the stunning Renaissance Man and L-Vis 1990 remixes), the new single dropping today from the multinational five piece is called “I Love London” and it has done the rounds on the internet already so we guess Kitsuné wanted to drop it while it was hot. Remixers galore on this one with offerings from In Flagranti (get it at RCRD LBL), Qoso, Lorcan Mak, 80 Kidz (can be found over at Big Stereo), Delta Heavy, Matt Walsh & Alex Jones, and Brackles. The remix we have for you strangely enough didn’t make it onto the single but we still dig it big time, Finnish power duo Femme En Fourrure with a remix that gives us less electro/dance/pop and more of a mellow tribal house feeling.

Heartbreaker

UK producer Brackles gives the Canadian electro gods MSTRKRFT a tasty bassline/dubstep treatment of their latest single “Heartbreaker”.

BONUS: The Laidback Luke remix, cheesy but severely efficient.

Night Slugs #8

We’re a tad bit late on this but hey, better late than never. Night Slugs could be the best club night in London – run by residents Bok Bok, Manara and L-Vis 1990 – tonight is edition eighth and also the first birthday party. They’re bringing in the big guns with appearances from Crazy Cousinz and Brackles. So get down to East Village in Shoreditch for a night of bass madness. To get you even more hyped, here’s the Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990 refix of that huge Crazy Cousinz track “Bongo Jam”.
