The four-month-long hiatus for the Discobelle mix series is over with this exclusive mix from Mt. Si.

Based in Los Angeles, Mt. Si is a collaborative project among three friends – Sarah Chernoff of Superhumanoids, Jesse Kivel from Kisses and Michael David of Classixx. They came together during the recording sessions for Classixx’s album “Hanging Gardens” and discovered that they had creative chemistry as a trio and assumed the name Mt. Si later signing with Cascine to release their 2016 EP “Limits” which is an exquisite piece of shimmering electronic pop.

Their mix for us here at Discobelle is filled with warm, discoish sounding electronic dance-pop gems including their recently released EP track “911” and the mix is the perfect way to gather up some heat whilst we over here in Europe are being pounded with an arctic freeze.

Tracklist after the jump.

We’re starting a new series on Discobelle where we will focus on up-and-coming indie labels from around the world. First up is New York/London’s Cascine, who we’ve been long time supporters of. There’s no denying how influential Cascine has become over the years, cementing a place in the Swedish pop sound for themselves. They’ve spearheaded releases and catapulted the careers of artists including Chad Valley, Korallreven, Lemonade, and Kisses to name a few. Just recently Cascine has launched a singles club called CSCN and releasing stand out tracks from Brooklyn’s Mirror Kisses, Canadian pop duo Vogue Dots, and rising producer Holly Waxwing. Take a listen to some of our favorite Cascine releases from the past below and visit them online at http://www.cascine.us/releases.

Stockholm producer/dj Yourhighness remixes the single track “Formulär 1A” from Swedish group Ditt Inre, the single is released by NYC label Cascine. Yourhighness treats us to a “proto house” sounding epic dub remix that certainly lives up to its name, more than 8 minutes long it features an old school house feel and has a steady, rolling, soulful beat playing off dreamful vocals for all those late night dancefloors.

Jensen Sportag are back from a 2 year absence with the first single off their forthcoming, debut album, Stealth Of Days. The lead cut, “Bellz”, blends dreamy vocals, with a percussive, almost Freestyle bass line. Stabby chords and other flourishes unravel over 5 minutes of blissful beats that would work at dinner time as well as the dance floor. The Nashville duo have a release date set for November 12th via Cascine, stay tuned!

Southern Shores craft blissful balearic dreamscapes that will transport you to a lush and haunting secret world, suspended someplace between past, present and future. Sweet escape, piercing nostalgia, romance, fantasy and reality swirl together in the faint breezes of their intoxicating harmonies. Fluttering strings, blaring horns and twinkling keys mingle with plaintive far-off voices as crisp drums rustle underfoot in intricate tracks that reach deep within.

They made us this mix.

This mix underwent a wonderfully organic evolution throughout its creation. Originally conceived as an exploration of early balearic influences, we found a strong impulse of classic 90s garage beginning to creep in after a particularly raucous house party DJ set. The result is a meeting point between the two ideas and is probably better for it. Talk Talk B-sides meet Gabrielle and man we had a lot of fun making it :)
