The Mishka Keep Watch Mix Series has reached the ninth edition and this time they head over to Milan, Italy and provides us with a stomping mix from one of the up and coming producers in the game – namely Congorock.

“…This months Keep Watch comes courtesy of Congorock, and fuses together every conceivable genre in electronic music to create a sound all its own. Completely balanced, it’s a perfect mix to kick off spring and summer with, featuring a range of the biggest tracks from the darker side of the spectrum to the poppy, lighter side of things. Here’s a forty minute look into what’s happening in Italys underground dance scene.

Citing influences from Dubsided to Capcom, Congorock blends together a range of styles to create his own brand of effervescent house. Originally from the southern town of Lecce, Congorock now calls Milan home, and his music is very rapidly crossing borders worldwide. Having recently released his first EP for Fools Gold “Runark”, Congorock joins the ranks with Crookers and Bloody Beetroots at the top of Italy’s burgeoning electronic scene.”

Congorock – Runark

Our old buddy and the Italian hero on Fool’s Gold Records, Congorock, just dropped his “Runark EP” (with remixes from Jokers Of The Scene and His Majesty Andre). The razorsharp synth together with the vocals will lift your ass off that bar stool and for the rest we can only say that this is one perfect slab of ravey fidget house.

New single off the recent Rex The Dog album “The Rex The Dog Show”. “Bubblicious” is the name of the track that will be released on February 25th and features remixes from Felix Da Housecat, Jesper Dahlbäck, Congorock etc. We got the pumping and at the same moody electropop remix from Swedish madman known as Familjen.

0131 – Flowerpower remix

0131 is the name of an italian duo composed by G (also known as GQ) and Alessandro Cattelan. They’ve been gaining some attention in their homecountry and recently also abroad with their single “Sunglasses” (produced by Borut from Scuola Furano) and the remixes that followed from dj.dstar etc. The boys are gearing up to do a video remix contest competition on Qoob TV in the next few weeks and they’ll work with Congorock for a new single. We recently got Flowered Milks Flower Power remix of the “Sunglasses” track and it’s nothing hippie about up instead it’s a chugging electro track.

Bugo – Primitivo (Congorock Remix)

We’ve been fans of the new rising star from Italy, Congorock, ever since he first started sending us e-mails with his tracks/mixes. Now he’s inked a deal with Fools Gold Records (look out for an EP dropping soonish), started working with The Bloody Beetroots and the rest of the electro elite + he’s just finished a few dates in the US where he, according to our friends in Palms Out, “blew up”. Here’s his latest track, a hard hitting remix of the Bugo track “Primitivo”. We have to say that we haven’t heard of Bugo before but he’s apparently a Italian singer/songwriter. This is a dancefloor stormer if we ever heard one so enjoy it.

Pic from Died Last Night

Alberto of the Don’t Fuck About crew in Milan tipped us off about this up and coming italian producer. His Majesty Andre is part of the growing fidget/electro/house movement in Italy that also contains already well known names such as The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, 3 Is A Crowd, Pulling Teeth, Congorock etc etc. These two original tracks + a Zoot Woman remix shows off his flawless technique and his various production style.
