A brand new video (directed by Eli Stonberg & Drew Daly) for the Cousin Cole banger “Chicken Moose Rhino Monkey” which was one of our favorite tracks last year and a huge crowd favorite.

The dynamic duo Pocketknife and Cousin Cole are at it again. After the success with the remix project “Tambourine Dream” they now return with the “Canyon Dancing” EP. And we just can’t stop dancing.

“This 7-track EP sees the studio mavericks reworking their art rock favourites into pulsing pagan dance frenzies. With a focus on hypnotic driving percussion, songs from the catalogues of Patti Smith, Liars, Silver Apples, Soft Circle, Yeasayer, Battles and Six Organs Of Admittance receive the Flagrant Fowl touch. Whereas “Tambourine Dream” had the hippies and gypsies dancing around the campfire, Canyon Dancing invites along a few warlocks, dusts off the spell book and sets the cauldron on that ever-growing fire.”

New weird but dope mix (done for the Allez Allez blog) from our Brooklyn boys Cousin Cole & Pocketknife (AKA the Flagrant Fowl posse) who are both staples here at Discobelle HQ. Here’s what Cole said about it:

The always excellent Cousin Cole just dropped this on the good old internet. This has been our jam for a minute now, sometimes the simplest is also the greatest!

“I was super psyched to see my Bruce Springsteen remix on Todd Terje’s mix for Resident Advisor last week. (Todd Terje is one of the top neo-disco dudes right now and a hero of mine.) Now there’s a version floating around that was cut out of the Terje mix, and I figured I might as well send out the full unmixed version at a decent quality for home listening and such.”
