Alberto of the Don’t Fuck About crew in Milan tipped us off about this up and coming italian producer. His Majesty Andre is part of the growing fidget/electro/house movement in Italy that also contains already well known names such as The Bloody Beetroots, Crookers, 3 Is A Crowd, Pulling Teeth, Congorock etc etc. These two original tracks + a Zoot Woman remix shows off his flawless technique and his various production style.

Pulling Teeth out of Milan is part of the steadily growing electro/house/club scene in Italy with cohorts such as Crookers, The Bloody Beetroots, 3 Is A Crowd etc. They first made a splash with the “New Era” track and now they’re back with “Mask”. This track has some bleepy bits but manages to stay on course thanks to a steady, pumping rhytm. There’s also a sweet guitar break. Another italian duo to watch out for!

We love that Crookers remix of the Kid Cudi track “Day N’ Nite” with it’s wobbly bass contrasting the mellow rapping. Here’s two new tracks from the upcoming mixtape “a Kid named Cudi” (this looks it will be the bomb, we posted the video trailer a few days ago). “Cudi Spazzin” is over the brand new NERD single “Spazz” while “The Biggest Grinder” sees him take over Rick Ross & T-Pains “Boss”. CCC threw this at us. Well, this mashup was bound to happen sooner or later! During the last year they have made a ton of remixes on heavy labels such as Southern Fried and Kitsuné. Now they have a new EP “Pepites” out on Beatport with remixes from Mixhell and others.

Mano is the best thing to come out of the Chi since Kanyeezy and Steed Lord is the best thing to come out of Iceland since Black Death vodka. Together, they create what starts out sounding a bit like The Knife if they did b-more/club music and then it turns into more of a screwed down crunk track but with a Scandinavian twist.

The track is taken from the upcoming “Dirty Mutha EP” (with artwork by The Zonders) which will be released digitally sometime at the end of the month, it features remixes from Crookers, DJ Mehdi and Mano.

One of the best tunes of 2007!

Well, we’ve been slacking a bit here at Discobelle. The other day we got some info in the mail from Nick Catchdubs (one of the head honchos of Fools Gold) about the latest Fools Gold releases - Kid Cudi and Jokers Of The Scene - from Nick Catchdubs but neglected to throw it up so you’ve probably already seen it elsewhere.

Anyway, we dig Kid Cudis laidback melodic singstyle rap and then of course the Crookers boys can do no wrong with their remix of “Day N Nite”. Also, the canadian club monsters known as Jokers of The Scene brings us one giant ravetastic release destined for the big rooms with “Y’all Know The Name” on which our old aquintance William Russell proves his ready for the major leagues with his remix of b-side “Juggle It”.
