Here’s a little treat for those of you that are lusting for more electro goodness, just in time for all the Halloween parties we give you the new track “Sbombers” from Congorock together with fellow Italians Crookers which is guaranteed to bring the house down.
A bit weary from last nights Smuts party at Babel where Solo flexed his skills and made the Malmö crowd dance like there was no tomorrow.
Anyway, just yesterday we gave you the Harvard Bass remix of new single “Set Me Free” from Brooklyn bass guru Drop The Lime and today we’e able to hand you the remix from the Zombie Disco Squad boys. Whilst the original is a big room monster complete with house diva vocals from new talent Carrie Wilds (she’ll also be featured on the Crookers record), the Zombies turn it down a notch for more of that funky techhousey sound.
Tomorrow night sees the third edition of Smuts, the club night we run together with the WooBanger boys at Babel here in Malmö. Last time we had Bok Bok and Spoek who both did a mighty fine job of trying to turn the house upside down, wednesday sees Italian gone Londoner Solo try to outdo them with his midget house sound. This remix of dynamic Milan duo Crookers track “Put Your Hands On Me” (released on Southern Fried Records a while ago) is his first offical one and for this occasion he decided to just use the accapella, transforming the track into a pure banger which has been a highlight in our sets lately.
Solo has been hard at work in the studio lately not just producing his own tracks or remixes but also producing beats. In the near future, we can expect an EP for Sound Pellegrino + a remix for Wiley and also remixes for some bigger names across the pond.
You have to have noticed that BeatauCue has been putting out some amazing remixes lately. We just had to get them to do an exclusive mix for us. So here it is folks, just as good as you would expect it to be.
Well, mellow sunday is over and back to business as usual. New French buzz production team BeatauCue just did a smashing take on one of the main club tracks in recent months, we’re of course talking about the Major Lazer track “Pon De Floor” and the remix has already been playlisted by some top players such as Brodinski, Sinden and Crookers.
Italian born but London based producer (where he works with Mowgli, Zombie Disco Squad etc) Solo sent over his latest mix which is filled with some of that midget house goodness. Cracking stuff as always. You should expect big things from him this year with his own work + remixes for among others Jahcoozi, Crookers and Depeche Mode.
Been away for two days on a retreat with my regular job which means now i’m playing catch up with the Internet and by the looks of it i’m on the losing end. This Crookers remix of the Fever Ray track “Seven” surfaced over at fellow Grinder Electric Zoo, the synthline/telephone sounds in this is almost as contagious as H1N1.
Fredrik AKA DJ Nibc is originally from Gothenburg, Sweden but now resides in Berlin where he runs the Trunkfunk label. He just finished a long (2 hours 20 minutes) live mix that is basically a conclusion of his summer in Berlin. This mix is filled with good stuff such as three exclusive Trunkfunk tracks; among them a remix from Stuffa (on the same track there’s a remix from Berlin big shots Jesse Rose & Oliver $) and also a new track from Gothenburg trio The Touch.
The long anticipated debut of Mixhell just dropped. Newly married Igor Cavalera (Ex-Sepultura) and Laima Leyton drops a baile influenced clubgroove with guest vocals from Oh Snap! and Jen Lasher of Baltimore. The vinyl release on top Finnish label New Judas features remixes from Crookers, Les Petits Pilous and Edu K. You can get the release on 12″ from Juno and Phonica
