Los Angeles based producer Eric Sharp teams up with fellow Angeleno Give In – they’re both members of collective RIS Labs – for the superb new release “Version 3” which drops today via Understated Recordings. Remixes on the release comes from Tenova, Modus and Micah Smith.

We here at Discobelle have been following Eric Sharp for a couple of years and each release from him is bound to make our ears pop in a good way, we’re glad to premiere the original mix the track. “Version 3” goes deep and it can best be described as a “moody, ethereal, and melodic voyage” with chords that twist and turn throughout along with haunting bells, sweeping synths and full on basslines.

“I was exploring darker, heavier music while hanging out in the studio with my buddy Sean Patrick. We had been listening to a bunch of tunes from labels like Innervisions, Culprit, and Ghostly International. I wrote some yearning chords and melodies and began to develop the idea from there. Sean encouraged me to get really granular with the drum programming and write something with slow, subtle changes throughout. I got the track to a place where I liked it but didn’t think it was quite there yet. I sent it over to George, aka Give In, whom I’d collaborated with a few times. Rather than just give feedback, he got some ideas and ran with them. The bell sound that features throughout is actually George playing an Ikea bowl. He busted out some great countermelodies and synth sounds from his collection of analog gear and put on the finishing touches.” – Eric Sharp

A huge premiere for us here today coming from Spanish producer/dj UNER who is at the forefront of melodic house/techno with recent releases on labels such as Suara, Bedrock, Culprit, Saved Records and Sasha’s imprint Last Night On Earth.

His latest track is forthcoming on US label Sol Selectas (spearheaded by American artist Sabo) and it’s part of their “Summer Sol II” compilation which drops tomorrow June 21st.

The track is entitled “The Sound of Sand” and features the vocal offerings of Ido Segal, on it we hear UNER going off into a slightly deeper and more warm balearic direction but rest assured if you’re a fan of his melodic sound you won’t be disappointed.
