The man, the myth, the legend known as Curtis Vodka is back. This is his stellar cosmic disco mix for the good folks (AKA Neoteric & Matty C) over at the White Light Mixes blog.

“This mix is suppose to represent a “Summer Twilight in Outer Space” vibe. I tried to pick these tracks carefully to allow the listener to understand the vibe I tried to create. While doing so, I had a lot of fun. I hope that the listener(s) will too! Well, that’s what I am hoping, at least.”

Curtis Vodka is back!!! Where have you been? We’ve missed you!

This track is off the “Hook ‘N’ Sling EP” that is out on the great label On The Brink Recordings. OTBR previosly released a lot of our fav artists like Crookers, The Bulgarian, Detboi amongst others.

We first took note of Al Ripken Jr when he did an EP with Curtis Vodka back in 2007. Things went a bit quiet for a while and then Grindin buddy Prince William shot us an e-mail with the tracks from Al’s new “Fo’ Da Cycle EP” which just pops off with playful and bumping b-more. We had a hard time choosing just one track to post but this track is basically just chopped up goodness that’s bound to make the ladies run to the dancefloor.

Our newfound homies over at the Krudmart empire in Buffalo have started putting out some serious mixes lately. We posted that excellent “dadrock” BBQ mix from Caps & Jones a while back and now our favorite Alaskian, Curtis Vodka, comes correct with an 80’s flavoured discogrooving mix.
