Caotico – Into The Beat

Glimmering electropop trio Caotico have been compared to MGMT and Cut Copy even though they say they’re in fact more influenced by Lil Wayne and Madonna. The outfit was probably one of hottest debut acts here in Sweden during 2011 with a range of remixes and festival gigs, with the release of their debut album in 2012 (will be drop February 22nd on Baseline) they’ll most likely be heard everwyhere. Here’s a first taste in the form of a Discobelle premiere, new single “Into The Beat” that has radio hit written all over it.

Cut Copy – Sun God (Andy Weatherall Remix)

In spite of their recurring problems with dandruff, huge accolades are due to Cut Copy, as their recent Zonoscope album was nominated for a Best Dance/Electronica Album Grammy which they could easily scoop one up.

To celebrate this achievement, Modular are giving away veteran of the scene Andrew Weatherall’s version of “Sun God”, which feels like you’re drifting through the cosmos on a narwhal – epic, blissed out dance pop for this universe and any other ones out there.

Grab it below!

Cut Copy – Need You Now

Australian trio Cut Copy just released their third album, the mesmerizing electropop effort “Zonoscope”, on Modular Records. Here’s the video for the single “Need You Now” and the band also did a mixtape entitled “A Tale Of Two Journeys”. Catch Cut Copy pretty much all over the world during the rest of the year.

The mixtape is described as being: “A medley of hits performed live at the Island Diamond Dance Hall in ’87 by Bobby Boomerang and his band.”

Golden Filter video + Cut Copy remix

Teaser video for the release of The Golden Filter single “Solid Gold” (will be released on February 16th) + their excellent discoish remix of the Cut Copy track “Far Away” (best track on “In Ghost Colours”).

Midnight Juggernauts – Dystopia (Cut Copy remix)

The Aussies are at it again. Cut Copy remixes the Midnight Juggernauts single “Dystopia”, described as “a glistening summery synth-pop anthem” and we can only agree.

Cut Copy – Far Away

As you may already know, we here at Discobelle are big fans of the new breed of bands coming out of Australia. Dancey electropop outfit Cut Copy is one of them and they’re dropping one of the most anticipated albums of 2008 with their sophomore CD “In Ghost Colours” (produced with Tim Goldsworthy of DFA fame, it will be released by Modular in Europe in late April/May but you Aussies can get it on Good Friday). We got our hands on (thanks again to the ever so lovely Naomi at Darling Department) one of the tracks from the album, “Far Away” is a lovely upbeat track that reminds us of the new wave bands of the 80′s but with a modern sound.
