It feels like too long since we’ve heard from San Francisco based duo, Brother In Arms. You know, the collaboration between the west cost institutions of J Boogie and Deejay Theory where the pair produce a smoothed-out, tropical infused house sound that oozes cool? Well, they’ve just done 2015 a huge service by dropping their latest joint, ‘Pound Cake,’ a funky, low slung number that bares the hall-marks of the BIA sound. Smooth pads, dubby, R&B flavored vocal stabs and a blissfully funky bass line abound on this new tune which you can pick up for free below.

If you happened to miss the amazing mixtape that Brother In Arms supplied Discobelle with last summer, peep it HERE.

Uuuuhhhhh….. that’s one sound that wraps up the gorgeous, tropical vibes of SF’s golden new production duo, Brother In Arms. Comprised of industry staples, J Boogie and Deejay Theory, these two individuals form like a groovy incarnation of Voltron, posted up on the sunny coast of Barbados, sipping Mai Tai’s and lounging amongst the palm trees.

The mix they’ve blessed us with here is really something special. Showcasing their fine ability to soundtrack your end-of-summer parties, the track-listing is stacked with Brother In Arms material, both released and unreleased, not to mention reworks from Yam Who?, Motez and drops from our beloved Tittsworth.

It’s a groovy situation, ya’ll… everyone’s invited!
