The NYC duo Still Going (AKA Eric Duncan from Rub ‘N’ Tug and Oliver Spencer from House Of House) just released their “Spaghetti Circus” single on DFA and it’s already become a bestseller. The track itself is a stellar feelgood, piano, bass and urging vocals driven disco/house track which is bound to ignite dancefloors.

House Of House

House Of House gave us what could be the track of the year with “Rushing To Paradise (Walkin’ These Streets)” and now they provide us with a pretty fantastic promo mix for their gig at classic London club Fabric.

“In prep for their performance this Saturday at Fabric here’s a mix that NYC’s House of House that they’ve especially for the night. House Of House is the New York City-based dance music duo of Saheer Umar (Afrika Islam’s nephew) and Olivier “Liv” Spencer (also of Still Going on DFA Records).

Influenced by the classic sounds of New York and New Jersey Deep House, seminal Techno outfits like Basic Channel and Underground Resistance, and the soulful sounds of Imagination, Womack and Womack and Sade, House Of House injects a soul-searing bit of drama onto the dance floor.”

“No You Girls” is the latest single from Franz Ferdinand and it shows us that someone at their label got some great taste in music since remixes were commissioned from NYC funky disco outfit The Juan Maclean and Danish techno god Trentemöller.

The Juan Maclean gives us a strutty disco remix with lots of quirky sounds, all while Trentemöller keeps it dark, stripped down and teasing us with a mighty buildup.

Canadian dance punk outfit Duchess Says describes themselves as being similar to The Gossip, Chromatics, Glass Candy, Six Finger Satellite, Les Georges Leningrad and Motormark. They’ve got their new single “Black Flag” coming out on May 25th and The Juan Maclean provides us with an intensely funked up DFA disco/new wave smelling remix that has us grooving here at the office.

It’s cold and flu season here at Discobelle HQ so we need some quality jams to help us get through. Vietcong Disco are rising stars on the NYC dance music scene with connections to DFA, Jacques Renault etc. The four piece outfit is the brain child of producer Eddie Mars and also consists of DJ Robert Redford, Malcolm LaSalle and Charles Damga. They’re bringing us some funky and shimmering disco that echoes of the good old days of early 80’s loft parties.

Lykke Li – Little Bit (Loving Hand remix) + Nike party

The fine people at Sneak Attack Media gave us this late last night and since we love Lykke Li there was no question that we had to post this. Loving Hand is Tim Goldsworthy from the DFA gang and here’s his take on the Lykke track “Little Bit”. The original is a brilliant piece of pop heaven but the remix sees “Little Bit” stretched out into an over 9 minute long spaced out disco jam. It sounds like something we could dance to at 8 AM on the beach after a long and partyfilled night.

PS. Besides all the hoopla surrounding 080808 in Stockholm tonight, our friends in Top Billin and Russian Spring Break are playing the big Nike party at Kägelbanan tonight, so if you’re around you should go since it will probably be spectacular. The lodown after the jump:
