Ethan Parker is only just beginning to make his mark on the music scene and we are very happy to be able to share his latest work, “Feel Something.” With 1 prior release under his belt, it is a magical experience to watch his sound evolve.

“Feel Something” is upbeat, disco infused hit that effortlessly couples with Parker’s melodic vocals.

“I wanted to try something different with this song. Something that moved people, literally. I hear so many dance records that I enjoy with great melodies and cool lyrics, but they can be very surface level at times. My goal was to incorporate my own perspective into something with dance vibes. “Feel Something” is a song about purpose. People need to know what they’re living for and why they’re living. It’s so easy to be swayed by the latest trend or by what everyone else is living for, but once you find that purpose and the reason for why you live you start to feel passion. That’s the something I want people to feel.” – Ethan Parker

LCAW steps up this month with one of the catchiest songs I’ve peeped this Summer. On top of the solid songmanship, what’s most impressive here is the use of real instruments in place of tired pre-sets for this funk-infused indie dance offering. A chilled dynamic with a toe-tapping pulse, that’s what ‘Nobody Else But You’ delivers, making the German talent one of the genre’s more imaginative prospects on the beat right now.

OOFT! is the boss man over at Foto Recordings and, although the output may be sparse these days, a new release is certainly something to be celebrated. Enter their latest missive: a lovely two track disc of acid tinged, disco joints. Taking the A-side is Glasgow based producer, ILO, nee` Oli Breidfjord. His offering reworks a well known Black Box hit into a shimmering club tool that is loaded with shuffling hats and epic pads. Clocking in at almost nine minutes, this one is sure to create the perfect tension to bring any appreciative dance floor to a euphoric crescendo. Keep your eyes peeled as it’s due to hit shelves any day now.

“A Part Of 20” is the forthcoming LP from Spanish producer, Tuccillo. Here, we have the full premiere of “Raw Orchestra,” a bumping, retro-flavored house joint that features lush string samples and a relentless, shuffling groove. You may have come across Tuccillo in the past from his prolific outings on such institutions as 2020 Vision, Ovum or Get Physical but, it’s his own label, Unblock Music, that presents his latest efforts. Spread across two, 12″ discs and comprised of 8 tracks, “A Part Of 20” is a portrait of an artist that uniquely expresses his production prowess.

Available May 29th. PRE-ORDER.

As they say, all good things must come to an end. As is the case with one of our favorites over here at DBHQ… Icelandic Disco Wizard, B.G. Baarregaard has opted to retire his tongue-twisting alias for new monikers and fresh pastures. Not giving up on music by any means, the producer merely wishes for a clean slate, which he’s receiving in more ways than one. With an emanate move back to his native homeland of Iceland… New beginnings are abound for the chap. We at Discobelle wish him the best in his new endeavors and are honored to host this farewell mix from B.G. Baarregaard!

The “Buskerud Blend” is a mega-mix of sorts that showcases B.G.’s work over the last 18 months whilst living in Buskerud County, Norway. Featuring reworks and original compositions released and unreleased, this is truly a blissful, “portrait of the artist” and a proper au revoir to this unique talent.

Yes, yes…Discobelle Mix 160 come courtesy of Manchurian disco maestro, Neil Diablo. The head honcho over at To Rack & Ruin and El Diablo’s Social Club, the man is a busy bwoy and we’re super stoked to finally land this exclusive mix from the big guy.

Known for his classically inspired sense of curation, Neil selects a cross section of bizarro-disco, vintage house, balearic oddities and dance floor burners for his mix. Clocking in at just over 90 minutes, this one is sure to get you pumped and primed for the club. Get up!

Another week, another fabulously groovy, Discobelle mix! Clocking in at the #159 spot in our exclusive series, we have Costa Rican disco impresario, Napoleon. As head honcho of the Wonderful Times label, he’s showcased such artists as Luvelss, VinylAddicted, Hotmood, Buzz Compass and Martin Hayes. As a producer, the young latino has scored releases on such illustrious imprints as Kolour LTD, Editorial Records, Editor’s Kutz and Masterworks Music, to name a few.

Napoleon turns in a fantastic mix chalked full of groovy, cosmic sounds… a perfect soundtrack for the changing seasons.

Fresh faced wunderkind, Cody Currie, looks to Better Listen Records to host his sophomore EP after a stunning debut on Pusic late in 2016. Clocking in at just 22 years of age, this London based producer has firmly established himself as one to watch in 2017. The staggering quality of his efforts thus far are shocking and it’s no wonder that the DC imprint quickly snapped up a grip of his tracks for 12″ release.

Unsurprisingly, we felt a similar urgency when the promo for the “Beer Machine EP” came across our desk and eagerly jumped at the chance to offer a premiere stream. On tap, we “Dynamite! (Disco Mix) for your listening pleasure and we have to admit, it’s got us giddy with excitement and doing the seated shuffle in our chairs at present! A chunky, dust-covered break beat opens the scene, joined shortly by filtered bass grooves and jangly guitars while hazy chords and arps punctuate the layered rhythms.

It’s ace tackle that leans heavily towards the productions of luminaries like Brame & Hamo or Fouk… something which, I for one, certainly ain’t mad at!
