We’re starting off the week in the best possible way, to be more precise with a new mix for our Discobelle mix series. We’ve reached the 167th edition and this one comes from Los Angeles based producer/dj Kyle Woods who is also the resident for Saint Heron.

He provides us with a sultry and mesmerizing mix of hip hop/r’n’b which is perfect to listen to now that the weather is heating up, straight up jams from Kaytranadas edit of Solange via Brandy to his own track “Solar”.

Gothenburg-based artist/DJ ishi vu have just released an amazing EP on critically acclaimed Swedish dance music label Studio Barnhus, the EP is entitled “Drömhus” (translates into “dream house”, buy the vinyl or digital versions). With his latest release finally out, ishi vu is once again stepping out from the local underground scene for gigs internationally. Notably, June 17th marks his return to Berlin, where you can get intimate at Farbfernseher. This summer also sees him sharing stage with the likes of Moodymann and Larry Heard, when this year’s installation of Into The Factory kicks off in Stora Vika (Sweden) come early August.

We here at Discobelle are extremely excited to present you with this exclusive mix from ishi vu as part of our Discobelle mix series, he begifts us and you the listener with a hypnotizing mix that glimmers and sparkles while he superbly weaves across disco sub-tones and a cohesive muck of uncompromizing rhythmic exercise.

Barcelona-based producer/dj Baldo have released smoking hot tracks on labels such as Let’s Play House, Neovinyl, Feline and Good Ratio.

He is the latest in line for the Discobelle mix series, he goes deep into jazzed up and funked out house territory for this groovy and organic sounding mix that gives us a warm and fuzzy feeling inside and it’s been on steady rotation here at Discobelle HQ since we received it.

If you want to hear more from Baldo he’s playing Red Light Radio on Saturday May 13th and if you happen to find yourself in Barcelona next week check him out at the Neovinyl (on which he’ll release a new EP later this month) label night at Moog.

NYC based producer/dj Higgins is at the forefront of the burgeoning new house/disco scene in the Big Apple and is also part of the notorious crew Kaviar Disco Club. He also just dropped his fantastic “Escape” EP (which you can listen to below) via our friends in Plant Music.

This exclusive Discobelle mix is a wonderfully spaced out and funked up house/disco affair that was recorded live at Le Bain in New York, we’ve been listening to this non-stop since we received it.

After a brief correspondence on Twitter the latest exclusive Discobelle mix was all set, Oakland rapper, dj and radio host Kreayshawn gives us a fantastic and frantic mix of all juke tracks that for certain will make your office be more like a sweat drenched cavern.

Tracklist after the jump.

Dropping in for this weeks installment of the Discobelle mix is Shreveport, Louisiana based producer, Walter Jones. Mr. Jones has been composing music since the late Seventies and has amassed a solid catalog of work spanning multiple decades and genres. His heavily lauded debut on Westbound Music, “All God’s Children,” cemented his place in modern dance circles and subsequent outings for Permanent Vacation, Supersoul and DFA only went on to expand his audience.

We’re super stoked to present this new mixtape from the man… an impressive, 80 minute foray into deep and groovy sounds, mixed live and offered to you here. Stay up and keep your eyes peeled for his upcoming 12″ ep on the Whiskey Pickle label.
