Mad Decent sublabel Jeffrees is off to a flying start, here’s the latest release which comes in the form of “Boom Shaka Laka” – a subdued tropical grooved effort from French/Argentinian producer Douster.

“Sounding like a 90′s take on dutch house and taking a vocal que from NBA JAM “Boom Shaka Laca” is guaranteed to make anyone on the dance floor move their feet. The B-Side “Pop That Bubble” rides the same vein of tropical grooves and chopped up vocals that Douster has perfected over the years.”

Leyenda

London by way of Colombia producer/dj and Girlcore member Isa GT is about to release a remix followup to her “Leyenda EP” which will feature a mix of some of her favorite new and established producers such as Arcade, Douster, JBS and Edu K. Etoro Records are giving away the Arcade remix that drops a slowed down, soulful take on the Cumbia influenced offerings of Isa GT. The “Leyenda Remix EP” drops November 21st.

The EP is released by our brothers across the bridge in Copenhagen based label Demento Mori.

This solid EP is packed full of bouncey house and it boasts remixes from Copenhagen locals MHM One & Dan M, accompanied by French new player Coni, Irish mad man Lorcan Mak and Hungarian powerhouse Slap In The Bass. Swick – Brocolli (Mayavanya Remix)

Malente’s label No Brainer Records has been putting out a steady stream of quality dance music releases lately, and their latest presentation from prodigious young Australian producer Swick doesn’t disappoint.

We’re happy to offer a healthy sounding remix from the “Jogalani” EP from New Zealand kewl kids Mayavanya that sounds like it’s making a messy brocolli puree of the original. Do the right thing show some support for this release on Beatport, which comes armed with remixes from Douster, Them Jeans, Vhyce and Chaos in the CBD.

Malibu Music Mixer

The good people over at Malibu released this new app for the iPhone just before Christmas, the app features exclusive music from the likes of Major Lazer, Riva Starr, Douster, Mowgli, Mastiksoul, Savage Skulls, Style of Eye and Johan Hugo from Radioclit/The Very Best etc. The app is called Malibu Music Mixer and it lets you mix the music in sync only using the iPhone including EQs, a drumpad and effects. As a bonus you get a sample bank full of classic dancehall and rave samples. Grab the app for free over here!

Tim Wagner of 33Hz is the man behind exciting new NYC based label Dither Down, who are about to release the “Clotheslines EP” from NYC singstress Saadi that features remixes from Daniel Haaksman, Douster, Lazy Flow and more. The Daniel Haaksman remix has already garnered well deserved praise from among others Sound Pellegrino Thermal Team and we’re happy to be giving it away as a Discobelle exclusive. The Man Recordings head honcho chips in some bubbling acid samba with his remix, which propells it straight to the dancefloor.

November 22nd sees the release of Swiss producer Wildlife!’s new EP “Buckup” which is an amazing EP filled with his bassfilled take on Jamaican dance music. Don’t sleep on it, amazing tracks on here that should work their ways into plenty of dj sets. It comes with vocal contributions from legends such as: Sammy Dread, Major Mackerel and Terry Lynn. Remixes on the EP come courtesy of Night Slugs wildman L-Vis 1990, whiz Parisian producer French Fries, Berlin techno fiend Adam Port and French/Argentinian tropical cumbia hero Douster. We here at Discobelle got the Douster remix for you, which sounds like Jamaican dancehall meeting up with a cumbia shuffle on speed at a carnival.

Dither Down

Dither Down is a new label based in Brooklyn that was started up by Tim Wagner and Benny Lowe of 33Hz along with DJ Chicus of the reggae label, Redbud Records. The label is centered around their love of indie pop, disco, dub, 80s electro and house and it will focus on releases with up and coming New York artists pairing them up with the best remixers from around the world.

Here’s the first Dither Down mini-mixtape which gives us a taste of their fall release schedule that will feature soon-to-be-released tracks and remixes from among others: Trap.Avoid, 33Hz, Populette, Neurotic Drum Band, Eli Escobar, Douster, Lazy Flow, Daniel Haaksman, Victor Rice & Saadi.
