It’s getting a bit too chilly for our comfort here in Sweden so it’s a good thing that Exploited Records give us a hot new track to lift our spirits. Funky German pop/electrohouse producer Lorenz Rhode is teaming up with Exploited for the release of his second EP on the label; “Something Hot”. The synth-saturated title track features the vocal offerings of infamous Berlin based singer Snax (Ex-Captain Comatose & support act for Jamie Lidell, Peaches and Scissor Sisters), who turns “Something Hot” into something even hotter. The releasedate for the EP is January 15th and a remix EP will follow with Swedish duo Savage Skulls (Dubsided/Mad Decent), Seiji (Bugz in the Attic/Computer Juice), Mattie Safer (ex-The Rapture), Shazam (Bang Gang) going all in on the track.

As a little teaser for the release here’s a new and exclusive remix that Lorenz did for Bavarian Ghetto-pimps Schlachthofbronx.

No “Mixin It Up” today but we bring you this big mix from the Swedish producer duo Savage Skulls!

We were very excited and intrigued when we heard that a couple of Swedish producers was releasing an EP on the mighty label Dubsided. Then when we heard that one of the brightest stars on the Swedish hiphop scene Timbuktu was laying down the vocals on the track we were already jumping. The track that’s called “Bumps” turned out great, we play it all the time and Niklas used it in his Rodeo Mix.

We heard the track “Spraycan”, taken from the EP that Renaissance Man is about to drop on Dubsided, out at the WMC a couple of times and the reaction to it was mayhem every time. One of the best track of the year. The “Spraycan EP” will drop on Dubsided April 20th and it will be out digitally on Beatport right after that. To promote the release they sent over a bootleg remix of DJ Hell’s first ever release from 1992 called “My Definition Of House Music” and a brand new mix. Pure fire!
