Eli Escobar “Desire” feat. Nomi Ruiz (Video)

The new Eli Escobar release is everything we’d expect from New York’s dance party juggernaut, and another EP of remixes is about to follow, featuring work from DJ Sneak, Ian Pooley, Cosmic Kids, Toni Toni Lee and newcomers Cocolores (Exploited).

Grab the original “Desire” EP on Beatport, if for no other reason than Nomi Ruiz’s voice and including a fantastic rework by Eli – also available is this “Desire” promo mix on Soundcloud – jammed with the kind of stuff that gay teenagers in small southern suburban towns dream about when they think of moving to New York.

Not Over

Those crazy Australians in Bag Raiders have been with us here in Discobelle from the start, remember their epic Mixin’ It Up? Now, they’ve gone on to touring the world and release singles like “Not Over” where they enlist dancefloor aficionados such as NYC legend Eli Escobar and Swedish mad man Tony Senghore to handle remix duties. Luckily for us – and for you – is that Modular decided to hand out the excellent pianolaced, popdisco remix from Eli Escobar for free which you’re more than welcome to grab below!

New NYC based label Dither Down (headed up by Tim Wagner of 33Hz and DJ Chicus of the reggae label Redbud Records) is coming out strong with their latest vinyl only release from 33Hz, “Under The Sun” features solid remixes from NYC hero Eli Escobar, Norwegian disco maestro Prins Thomas and also Brooklyn producer Trap.Avoid who delivers a minimal disco sounding affair.

Eli Remixes Cover 400

Love Thing

We’ve been following New York based producer/dj Eli Escobar for a couple of years now and he just dropped his brand new “Love Thing” remix EP on Plant Music which happens to feature some heavy remixes from top producers such as DJ Mehdi, Runaway, Mike Simonetti and John Selway. Eli himself also took a go and did his own amazing rework of the track, sexy pianodriven disco/house at its finest with some sax business thrown in to take the sexiness up a notch.

Dither Down

Dither Down is a new label based in Brooklyn that was started up by Tim Wagner and Benny Lowe of 33Hz along with DJ Chicus of the reggae label, Redbud Records. The label is centered around their love of indie pop, disco, dub, 80s electro and house and it will focus on releases with up and coming New York artists pairing them up with the best remixers from around the world.

Here’s the first Dither Down mini-mixtape which gives us a taste of their fall release schedule that will feature soon-to-be-released tracks and remixes from among others: Trap.Avoid, 33Hz, Populette, Neurotic Drum Band, Eli Escobar, Douster, Lazy Flow, Daniel Haaksman, Victor Rice & Saadi.
