Kentucky producer Ellie Herring’s latest single “Why’d You” is a triumphant mixture of synth driven pop and acid drenched electronica. The track rises and falls in a roller coaster fashion, possessed vocals and filtered fx build to intense highs and then plummet along into quite sweet and melodic bridges. Not for the faint at heart, “Why’d You” is available on Ellie’s new EP out today via Race Car Productions.

She bad. She know it.

Lexington, Kentucky based producer Ellie Herring is the belle of the ball as far as I’m aware of. The past has seen Ellie release a single on Ryan Hemsworth’s Secret Songs and remix other up-and-coming artists such as Oceaan and Blooms. I also had the pleasure of meeting Ellie at SXSW this year and afterwards I was hardly surprised that she’s such a blog darling. Her latest offering is a bass heavy rework of Normaling’s “Low Drop” featuring two heavyweight female rappers Rye Rye and TT The Artist.
