It wasn’t long ago that we posted our last Emynd track but since he keeps on cranking out some serious heat then it’s impossible to resist. This track is perfect for starting off a new week at the office.

“We Don’t Give A…” features Philadalphia rapper Young Chris, it’s a perfect B-more banger with blazing horns, handclaps and party inducing vocals that were made for shouting at the top of your lungs while you’re wiling out on the dancefloor. You know that we will drop this whenever we can.

Rihanna – Disturbia (Emynd’s “Finally” Blend)

Friday, November 7th, 2008

I take credit for this one. Being a lazy sucker not doing my own blends I asked Emynd if he could hit the acapella with some new beats. He hated the idea but look what happens a couple of months later! The original beat comes from CeCe Peniston’s “Finally” and the turnout is a sweet pianohouseflavoured gem. Emynd gives his blends and remixes away in something he calls “Lunch Break Beats.

And yeah, don’t forget, if you are in Philly tonight to attend Emynd and Bo Blizs clubnight Bounce. Tonight they are throwing a going away party for my big brother Steven Bloodbath.

Philly dj/producer Emynd has been blowing up lately with a series of excellent blends and remixes. Today sees the digital release of his EP “Philly 2 Bmore” on Unruly Records and “To All My Haters” is the opening track and it sounds a little something like this:

A pretty simple and traditional track with a lot of bass and a menacing synth line. I rocked the most memorable line from Shawty Lo’s “Dey Know” (”…to all my Haters!”) and added a silly “F*ck you!” chant but this is by no means a “Dey Know” remix–it’s a whole new song. So far, this ish has worked really well in the club alongside alot of the more aggressive Bmore that a lot of us already play. People love yelling “F*ck you!” apparently. Obviously, this track is really Mike Mumbles and Say Wut inspired.”

Emynd keeps on cranking out some serious heat with his remixes and edits aswell as his original tracks. Let´s leave the description of these two remixes to the man himself:

“The first is this Club/Party Music track I made using elements from 2 Live Crews “Back At Your Ass” Megamix from their album “Back at Your Ass for the Nine-4″. It’s really simple track, but I think that’s part of what makes it so effective. The deep bass kicks work really well in the club and I really like the chopped melody. “

Then we have his second remix of the huge South Rakkas Crew track “Mad Again”.

“This is quite a bit different from my Bounce remix. For one, it’s much more obviously House inspired with the four on the floor drums and the reverbed House piano that adds the melody on top of the twirling “Automan” synth. It also just feels a whole lot different in mood and uses significantly more of the acapella. The Bounce remix is hard, aggressive, and energetic, while this has a bit more of a smooth and melancholy feel. I do really like the Bounce breakdown in this, but I also think Diplo was wise to advise me to get rid of the pianos and make a full on Bounce song out of it. That being said, I think this song is interesting in its own right…”

Our friend Emynd always makes us happy with his nicely cut edits and remixes. This one has a sweet discofeel to it with a touch of B-more to make us hipsters smiling. Also, be sure to check out Emynds remix of the huge South Rakkas song “Mad Again” that’s on the digital release.

“I’ve always loved the OG of this song and wanted to make a version that would fit in aesthetically with some of the stuff I’ve been playing lately. So, I kept it pretty simple: extended it, boosted it up with some four on the floor drums and a bit of tastefulsynth additions. Some of you have probably heard it on my Crossfaded Bacon 2008 Mix that I posted recently, and I got a bunch of requests for it through email, so here it is for everybody.”
