Lisbon producer/dj’s Branko and PEDRO (formerly known as King Kong) collaborate on the hypnotic sounding, funked up tribal club bomb “MPTS” (= a shortened, Portuguese SMS term for “Meus Putos” — which loosely translates to meaning “my crew”). The track is released via Enchufada and it’s the first in a series of new Branko singles, his first new material since 2016’s much acclaimed “Reserva Pra Dois” and follows up the 2017 compilation “Enchufada Na Zona”.

Lisbon DJ/producer Rastronaut sent us this slamming end of year mix to enjoy. The Enchufada artist steps up to the plate for this dynamic fusing of tunes and we can’t get enough. There are some super exclusive, never-before-heard tracks in here and we’ve provided a full tracklist below – Enjoy!

We’re starting the weekend with a bang courtesy of this premiere of the seriously addictive “afro-tuga” (the combination of grime/kuduro/bashment/UK funky) remix by acclaimed Portuguese duo Octa Push of UK based outfit Afriquoi and their single track “Sare” (taken from the “Abobo Nation – Part 1 (Remixes)” release that is dropping on October 28th via Wormfood Records.

Lisbon producer Branko dropped his debut solo album “ATLAS” last year, a track that didn’t make it onto the album is the soulful song “Reserva Pra Dois” which features hypnotizing vocals by Cape Verdean artist Mayra Andrade. The track sounds like what you would listen to after a cleansing summer rain.

“I made this song back in march 2015 while I was working on my debut album ‘Atlas’. I’ve been a fan of Mayra Andrade’s work for a long time, so when the opportunity came for me to get in the studio with her I had to grab it like my life depended on it. I called Kalaf to come help us with the words and all together we came up with the concept in less than 24 hours. It wasn’t part of the album because I wasn’t fully happy with my production work, but after a while I picked it up again and was able to put together something that sounded a lot more interesting to me.”
