Thought by many to be responsible for the resurgence of “grown ass folk dance music”, New York label Wolf + Lamb (formed by Gadi Mizrah and Zev Eisenberg) has been responsible for releasing an abundance of heated, sleazy but sophisticated house jams over the past years. In the words of the label: “Since then, it has grown to include three record labels, well over 100 community dances — and counting, a clothing line, a legendary 6 star hotel and club, and, their new line of organic pet food: Woof & Lamme.”

This song popped up on various video sites last summer from Marits concert at the Highline Ballroom in New York. The song is inspired by Andrew Hollerans classic book “Dancer from the dance”, a book about gay men in New York City in the 1970s. We got the original track and a remix by Justus Köhncke.

“Out on the Piers” is the first track from Marit Bergman’s new project to release one song per month on her website www.maritbergman.net. “Out on the Piers” will be released there on March 28th (original + acoustic version).
