Joyce Muniz (ft. Louie Austen) – Morning Love (video)

Claptone – She Loves You (video)

Joyce Muniz – Pulp Fiction

Joyce Muniz‘s funky, percussion-heavy DJ sets – covering everything from Afro beats to tropical tech, electro, and house – have already garnered her a huge international following, and Pulp Fiction, on Exploited Records is a direct reflection of her “serious sweating on the dancefloor” style. The title track is melodic and lighthearted, a party jacking house track with subtle pop moments. Tech-ed out chords and the smooth vocals drive the excellent “Morning Love,” and “Pray for Peace” is full of futuristic afro-tropical house vibes. The jacking, warm “Back Down” also stands out, and “New In Town” rounds out the release on a stripped-down, soulful deep house note.

Already gathering some serious praise from Skream, Maya Jane Coles, Round Table Knights, Martin Dawson, Ian Pooley, Laurent Garnier, Mosca, Ewan Pearson, Hudson Mohawke, CatznDogs, Joe Goddard/Hot Chip, Munk, Alex Barck/Jazzanova and more, this EP combines some serious tech house heat while still keeping the playful, floor friendly style responsible for Joyce’s ever growing fanbase.

Exploited will be releasing the dub versions of the EP and two bonus tracks in the following two weeks. Meanwhile grab the originals at BEATPORT, I-TUNES or JUNO and listen to a Soundcloud teaser of the EP below. Finally, check out the freshly renovated Exploited Records blog, a fountain of fresh content and videos from the excellent label.

Doctor Dru & Adana Twins – Juicy Fruit

We just received this new video from Shir Khan and Exploited Records, their latest release is “Shir Khan presents: Black Jukebox 01″ that sees them dip their toes into the world of disco edits with the launch of new sublabel Black Jukebox. On the first effort we see contributions from label regulars Homework as well as introducing the Hamburg axis better known as Doctor Dru & Adana Twins. The latter lead the way with their slo-mo housed-up boogie-soul joint “Juicy Fruit”. Early support comes from top players such as A-Trak, Round Table Knights, Sinden, DJ Sneak, Oliver $, Digitalism, James Friedman etc.

DJ Wool Mix for Urb.com

DJ Wool of Discobelle Records recent Spoek collaboration lays down some pool party friendly vibes in his recent mix for Urb.com. Amongst the essentials in it is none other than an edit of Dolly Parton’s “Jolene”, and material from Exploited Records’ new vinyl-only sublabel Black Jukebox.

Homework – Rally Racquet Club (Video)

Following the hazy fever dream disco of their last release on Exploited, Homework throw on a couple polo shirts, pull their socks all the way up and step out onto the courts for some Wimbledon inspired tennis tech-house action for Made To Play.

Okay, no more painfully made journalistic tennis metaphors. Instead, let’s talk about how the sample from The Isely Brother’s 1964 track “Take Me In Your Arms” sounds so utterly at home here amidst the track’s sun drenched piano riffs. The album track is almost double the length of the video cut, which gives this one just enough time to ride out the powerful bassline, reminiscent of the euphoria that you get listening to Daft Punk’s “Discovery” album while running into the ocean naked.

Without a doubt, this is classy summer beach party music arriving at the perfect moment.

Rally Racquet Club will be released on the 20th of June, with a remix by Oliver $ that’s almost in danger of outshining the original. You can preview the whole EP on Made To Play’s soundcloud page.

Consistent – Higher Feel + Exploited Records Podcast

Consistent – Higher Feel from exploited records on Vimeo.

New track from everyone’s favorite bumping Berlin producers working under the cloak of anonymity. Previously having released on Frontroom and Boe with remixes for Tartelet and Man Recordings, Consistent’s track ‘Feeling High’ dices vocals and disco vibes into a house heavyweight straddling somewhere in between deep and tech house.

Limited to 300 vinyl copies, grab one for yourself before they fly off the shelf. Digital’s available too.

Bonus: Consistent also just curated a podcast for Exploited Records.
