Femme En Fourrure – Dirty Blonde (French Fries & Manare Remix)

Released last summer, Femme En Fourrure‘s debut on Discobelle Records was a dark, deep minimal exploit into the greyzone between house, techno and minimal.

Now, we’ve got a new track to share with you. French Fries and Manare take most unsettling parts of the original track (the back alley off-key piano twinklings) and coats the deep tech house vibe of the original in a thick layer of UK funky influenced bass, making the end product sinister in a completely different way.

But just because it’s sinister doesn’t mean it won’t make people dance, knowwhatimean? Grab it for free below, this one’s on us.

OMG Truants, you just took things up a notch. Today is a day for the kind of confetti throwing, party hat wearing, setting off fireworks kind of celebration that only the release of a new, free compilation of amazing music by the hardworking folks at Truants Blog can bring about.

Truancy Compilation One is comprised of fourteen tracks from artists who influential artists spanning every genre imaginable, with sounds oscillating between summertime snyth party and acid tinged mini-house. Featuring mind altering tunes from NGUZUNGUZU, Teeth, Femme En Fourrure, Grown Folk, LOL Boys, Teki Latex, Mele, Brenmar, Glass Actor, Square Mode and many more, it’s the most abundant gift that the internet has revealed to us in quite a while.

Whether the bleepy chanting “jewelery, chrome and stones” chorus of Grown Folk’s “Steady Moving” is your thing, or the tweaked tribute to micro scenes that Teki Latex choruses over tambourines and summery handclaps, there’s something in this package for everybody. NGUZUNGUZU also weaves an effortlessly trippy jam that’s sure to be stuck on repeat, while Teeth packs a ton of bongos and grime into just five minutes.

Femme En Fourrure – Bronco (video)

If someone asked me “hey, what’s the new Femme En Fourrure video about?” I would probably say:

“Stealing bikes, punching DJs, salad, the confederate flag, masturbating to yourself in the mirror, nosebleeds in a club, weird gold painted dudes, the phrase “where my stallions at”, littering, throwing drinks on people who make requests at the bar, and probably a lot more creepy sexual subtext that I haven’t quite gleamed yet.”

That being said, it’s amazing. Out soon on Top Billin. Possibly NSFW (but really, all videos are depending on whether your workplace allows you to watch YouTube at work).

Gimme Dat (Femme En Fourrure Bootleg Edit)

Aside from the borderline heretical statement by Femme En Fourrure that they’re “not really a fan of the vocals and arrangement of the original”, this edit gets a thumbs up for making a Ciara song pop off without keeping any of the vocals. You can almost picture the Femme En Fourrure folks stumbling through a nightclub while this is on blast, spilling their drinks on the furniture and mumbling to themselves that it needs to “be more jacking”.

Kinda like a strobelight going at epilectic speed in the basement party of hell, the final product sounds a little bit frightening, but thoroughly enjoyable regardless.

By the way, google image searching “Ciara” makes me feel like I’ve found the myspace page of someone with dissociative identity disorder; she looks almost unrecognizably different in EVERY PHOTO.
