I’m not here to advocate covering Fleetwood Mac. Rumours remains the perfect album. It needs no improving. That said, if you’re going to revisit the turbulent act’s glory days, do so with the blissful energy and aura of Jaguar Dreams. The New York trio takes on one hell of a task, lacing ‘Dreams’ with aptly sedative melodies and a docile beat, but emerge with a respectful nod to one of Mac’s most memorable cuts from the classic 1977 LP.

The fine folks at OFF Recordings have hit a mile stone with 22,222 followers on their Facebook page. To celebrate, they’re offering this free, various artists compilation featuring a cast of usual contributors like Mat.Joe, Vanilla Ace and Purple Disco Machine.

Moonwalk turns in a fantastic reworking of Fleetwood Mac’s, Everywhere, while Gabe re-envisions Daft Punk’s, Face To Face. The truly stand out cut, however, is the sublime version of Marvin Gaye’s, ‘What’s Going On,” by Purple Disco Machine, a poignant reminder to choose love in these questionable days.
